Most gods would consider not needing to sleep a blessing; they could constantly enjoy praise from their adoring worshippers, work on whatever aspect they covered, or simply enjoy their lavish palaces.
Like most things gods considered boons, however, Korsta felt it more a curse.
Wouldn’t it be nice where, at the end of the day, he could lie back, close his eyes, and simply rest? Forget his troubles for maybe a third of the day and lay in peace. Now that sounded like a blessing.

Korsta growled, but the woman chuckled.
“If they get your arms, I don’t recommend biting them,” the woman said. “I imagine they taste horrible.”
“Oh no,” Hesyi said. “That’s when I’ll headbutt them.”

Korsta spun in place, swiping his ngole around. Several whimpers and caws sounded, then bodies hit the ground. Black smoke arose and the remaining phantoms – five wolves and two owls – seemed wary.
