Echo knocked on the door with one hand while her other hand carried a tray. She noticed her roommate seemed to be working frantically these days so she did her chores quietly and respectfully around their apartment - though that wasn’t unusual for her. After not seeing the other leave her room for a while, however, Echo naturally grew worried that her roommate was forgetting to eat.

“I’m sorry to disturb you...I prepared some tea and snacks, if you would like some.”

Strange, he thinks, that such animals exist. They could certainly be considered exotic and sure he may even get used to seeing them after he's been around them long enough, but as it stands currently, seeing dogs with tablets for heads is...very jarring to say the least. What's most strange, he thinks, is how no one else seems to find them particularly off-putting. In fact, he notices that one particular young lady seems to be paying extra special attention to a few specific few that gather around her. She treats them normally, as anyone would for regular dogs and though Akira can tell that this is probably something she does often, he can't help but speak up and ask,  "You don't think they're a little weird?" As he says that, one particularly large dog moves to bump it's head against the back of his legs, making him almost lose his footing.

"...Then again I guess they are just as mischievous as the regular kind."

“Miss Karen, how are you doing with the sword, lately?” In his eyes she seemed like a fast learner when they had last worked with the sword together. It’s surprising really, because adults took longer to learn something than when a child was learning something. He heard the saying before: Can’t teach an old dog new tricks. NOT that he was saying Karen was old or anything. She wasn’t, but---you get the point. She was much older than he was. 

“Are you ready to learn some more?”

“These flowers are beautiful!” He looked at the Sakura trees of the cotes ward with a warm smile. “This place is so foreign but alluring at the same time.” He rested his hands on his hips as he walked.

✴: » Alright so it was very clear someone was following her. At first it was probably a coincidence the two were going in the same direction, Arnath was making a quick trip to get her gloves patched up after a bit of an accident, pick them up, head off. And then it became apparent that among the groups of people that were intertwined with her walking.. one remained consistent the entire time. Sighing and stopping, turning on heel and facing them--she’d suddenly feel a bit taken back and surprised as they leaned in a bit to stare at her, catching her off guard and flustered a bit. 

“ Wha--hey! Hold on, why’re you leaning so--did I have something on my back this entire time..?! You could’ve told me you know, now I can’t-- “ In which she began to try and reach for nothing, feeling personal space  only slightly occupied now.

It seemed there was some kind of festivities going on around Cloud’s home ward. He had assumed that the strange color of the sky (after the normal eclipse) was a herald of some new problem, but this seemed rather like a celebration, from what he could tell. 

Of course, there was always the potential for things to turn violent again soon, but for now things were going well. It wasn’t one of those sporadic things that occasionally swept through the population, either, but something that seemed far more organized.

He stood on his porch for a few minutes, but the sound of music drew him out further into the crowds. There was a different stage every two blocks or so, sometimes more frequently than that; and each one was playing something completely different from all of the others.

He paused in front of the third one he had passed. Not a lot of people were gathered around this stage - actually, not all that many were gathered around any of the stages he had seen so far. This one had a fairly young woman with dark hair, signing some kind of love song. Cloud couldn’t make out a few of the words, but the lady in question was clearly giving it her best shot, and her enthusiasm had caught his attention more than the first two.
