[Doppo]
Missing the last train home
First one’s not ‘til morning
Left with nowhere to go
Asphalt cracked with dandelions
You’ve got it rough too, huh?
Overtime on endless loop
No siren to go home on time
I swear I’m not gonna cry
Because right now, yeah, I work so hard
The road I walk’s a dungeon now
But look, now it’s time to turn over
Coming home to a delicious dinner
I can’t stay here moping around
I wanna be the one who gets the last laugh
That’s why I’m holding out here as I am a little longer,
To make it
[Matenrou]
Until the night breaks—Oh ei oh
Until the sun rises—Oh ei oh
Even if you can’t see the way forward—Oh ei oh
Know that the dawn will always arrive—Oh ei oh
[Hifumi]
Within this sleepless city
Colorful neon signs
Forget your painful reality
And dream out a brief story
Laughing as we’re talking
About our past story
And just like a blanket
It envelops us completely
Our serious trauma, written into a drama
The answer is surely within the night breeze
I’ve even started wanting to hear a reason
From the woman I said I’d never forgive
Burning yourself out won’t get you anywhere,
Surely you’ll return to yourself in the end
Then I want to stand here, just as I am
Until the morning light breaks
[Matenrou]
Until the morning comes—Oh ei oh
Until the light touches you—Oh ei oh
Even if the night is pitch-dark—Oh ei oh
Know you’re never alone within it—Oh ei oh
[Jakurai]
Knowing the realities of this world
Seeing sleepless dreams
The wall is unscalably high
But I’d like to climb it regardless
The pasts we wish to keep hidden and
The fears we can’t bring ourselves to disclose
Gradually eat into our hearts
And by the time we realize, it’s too late
Through the long night we’ve endured
Through the long, long, night we’ve endured
Alone it was utterly impossible
For me to possibly overcome it
I want to save everyone
Though it may only be my pride
I understand it all tonight–
It’s always darkest before the dawn
[Matenrou]
Until the night breaks—Oh ei oh
Until the sun rises—Oh ei oh
Even if you can’t see the way forward—Oh ei oh
Know that the dawn will always arrive—Oh ei oh
Until the morning comes—Oh ei oh
Until the light touches you—Oh ei oh
Even if the night is pitch-dark—Oh ei oh
Know you’re never alone within it—Oh ei oh
Memories clinging persistent in the back of my mind
Ones I can’t forget--No, ones I’m not allowed to forget
I remember it like it was yesterday
This city doesn’t change
This scent, this scenery, always makes me remember
And no matter how many times I close the book
I come back to this page
The terror of losing what I love--terror, eating into my heart
Tormented, these memories within me replay
Samatoki (23): Ichiro? Don’t look so exhausted. C’mon, get up. We’re gonna win tomorrow’s battle for sure.
[Ichiro]
On that day, back then, we walked the same path
Friends, teammates, partners, there were plenty of things we called us
What was he to me, really?
Now I don’t know, he won’t even talk to me
There’s just one thing I know for sure...
Samatoki (23): Hey, Ichiro. A man can’t cry just because he fought with his friend, yeah? If you’re a real man, no ‘buts’ either. The only reason a man’s got to cry is if his family dies.
[Ichiro]
The days I walked side-by-side with him weren’t so bad
Or so I thought, until that day
Ramuda (22): This is bad, Ichiro! Your little brothers were kidnapped!
[Ichiro]
Hang up the phone and the world turns dark, shut down
My brothers were kidnapped!?
I can’t breathe against this feedback
Misfortune gives no warning, befalling me suddenly
Is fate going to steal my family from me again?
My heart pounding, everything out of control
Like the ceaseless rain,
This absurdity doesn’t stop
Are the people important to me going to be stolen away again?
Racing desperate through town while hating the world
All I can do is pray because I’m already out of time
Samatoki (23): Don’t hate me for this, Ichiro. Let’s do this.
[Ichiro]
In this era you need friends to walk with
Who’ll stay alongside you, talk it out, who you can believe in
Now his blade filled with killing intent cuts into me
I never could have imagined him turning on me like this
What’s the truth, what’s an illusion, I haven’t found the answer
The ray of hope from the future we saw is growing faint
What’s the truth, what’s an illusion, I haven’t found the answer
Everything I believed in might have been a fantasy...
Ichiro: Samatoki-san. Samatoki-san! Please wait. Please! My little brothers!
Samatoki: Not my problem.
[Ichiro]
This city doesn’t change; I’ll never forget that day
That day my brothers were almost stolen away from me
I heard the sound of everything I believed in shatter
What he showed me that day was his true self
I can’t forgive his betrayal--or maybe just my naive self
Knowing how weak you are is the worst fucking feeling
This city doesn’t change; I’ll never forget that day

Sasara: Ladies and Gentlemen! Sorry to keep you waiting! Welcome to an Ultra Magnitude TV Show! Nurusara’s Division Rep Battle! Our special guest today is ready to talk up his Division, so let’s welcome him in!
Kuko: I’m Harai Kuko! Representing Nagoya Division, call me Evil Monk! All I gotta do is rep my Division, yeah? Come at me then! I ain’t gonna lose! This show’s gonna be mine starting next week.
Sasara: That’s what you think. I’ll start us off!
[Sasara]
Talkin’ Osaka means talkin’ takoyaki, what more do I have to say?
A crispy crust and a melty inside, don’t blame me if you burn your tongue
Ikayaki, okonomiyaki, the bonito flakes’re dancing
This party’s gonna send flour flying, no way you can stay a wallflower
[Kuko]
When you hit up Nagoya, it’s gotta be miso! Everybody shout it with me:
I’ve got the intel, this’s Takanashi Haru’s investigative report
Takanashi Haru, 18 years old, attends a private high school, a normal student
Haru: When I was a child, my parents passed away in a traffic accident. My gramma has raised me since then. She’s always spoiled me, and she’s always been on my side.
[Rei]
But because of that love,
The Takanashi family was caught up in a troublesome thread
Haru: In middle school, I was bullied. I was beat up every day, and I worried her because I couldn’t stand all the new bruises. But I didn’t want to worry her, so I tried to hide it as much as I could. Thinking back on it, that was my mistake.
[Rei]
Her grandson was being bullied. The troubled grandmother filed a complaint with the school
But without a single kind ear, an aged woman’s complaints were summarily ignored
She wanted to save him by any means, but she hadn’t the faintest idea how
Grasping desperately at straws, she turned to a Society in Kyoto Division
They promised to resolve all her worries, to release him from suffering and anguish
Backed into a corner, such exaggerations were more than enough to take her hostage
Hitoya: That’s the true Itonokai.
Haru: Yes.
Kuko: I see. So she joined in order to save her grandson. What’re you crying’for?
Jyushi: I mean, I can’t think of it as someone else’s pain when he’s talking about bullying, and grammas…
Hitoya: So? What happened next? Bullying’s not gonna go away just because you prayed to some god about it.
Haru: No, it went away.
Kuko: Huh?
Jyushi: Because of the Thread’s guidance?
Kuko: No fuckin’ way!
Jyushi: That hurts!
Haru: What saved me from the bullying was my two best friends. The hands they held out to me were like a Spider’s Thread, descending from heaven!
Hirorin: Yeah, that’s when he met us!
Ryota: Yeah. Once we became friends, everyone stopped bullying him.
Sasara: Hm? But if it all ended well, then no one needed the Itonokai!
Rei: Is that what you think? Then you’d be… dead wrong.
Sasara: Huh?
[Rei]
Takanashi Haru had suffered, but the bullying had practically disappeared
Day by day he grew brighter, and his grandmother felt relieved from the bottom of her heart
And so for saving her grandson, she decided to pledge her life to the Itonokai
And so bit by bit, the Spider’s Thread wound them both up in its web
Haru: At the start of the year, my grandmother collapsed. When I watched her in that hospital bed, in her coma, I was so afraid. Afraid that my grandmother who raised me, that my family would die again. I was scared I’d have to live alone forever! So scared. And then Danjyo-sama appeared before me.
Danjyo: You poor things. At this rate, she won’t be saved. But with our power, your grandmother can surely be saved.
Haru: Please save my grandmother. I beg you!
Danjyo: She is one of our own. We’ll save her. However… In the event we do save her, what will you give us in return?
Haru: I’ll do anything! So please save my grandmother… Save my gramma!!
Danjyo: Very well. Everything as the Spider’s Thread guides us.
Rei: On that day, Takanashi Haru signed a deal with the devil.
[Rei]
Ha! It’s too late to escape. Ha! You’re forbidden to escape
In exchange for his dearest grandmother’s life, the poor chick fell into a trap
Ha! It’s too late to escape. Ha! You’re forbidden to escape
No matter how he tried to run, the spider’s poison only wore him down again
Ha! It’s too late to escape. Ha! You’re forbidden to escape
Now the Spider’s Thread comprises his world, but a soldier with no free will
Ha! It’s too late to escape. Ha! You’re forbidden to escape
Until his life is exhausted, he’ll do nothing but dance within the spider’s web
