Our first major character death in dnd, Kovah was killed by a Gem Stalker.

We were too low level to have access to ressurrection magic, and too poor to pay for cleric magic, so Ritz reached into the beyobnd and made a deal.

In exchange for help from Kovah's Warlock Patron, Ritz would have to do an undisclosed favor for him in the future.
