jongtae, cell phone, family dinner B)
Junghee’s knuckles were white as she gripped her spoon in her hand, breathing shakily as she tried to keep her cool. Taeyeon smirked at her from her left, completely comfortable as she listened to her father and elder sister discuss her studies.
"What are you doing?" Taeyeon’s mother looked over at Junghee and the white haired girl nearly had a panic attack.
"Nothing." she said quickly, eyes wide and Taeyeon placed a hand on her thigh.
"She means career-wise, baby." she whispered and Junghee chuckled shakily.
"Oh," she licked her dry lips and attempted a casual smile. "Music. I’m a music major. Business minor."
"That’s a practical backup plan." Taeyeon’s father nodded his approval.
"Thanks, sir." Junghee nodded, looking over at Taeyeon imploringly.
"Mom," Taeyeon chirped cutely. "Is there dessert?"
"Yes," he mother nodded, furrowing her brow at Junghee when she twitched erratically. "I was thinking we’d have coffee and cupcakes in the living room."
"Great!" Junghee chimed. "Why don’t you guys g-go over there now? Taeyeon and I can clear the table and bring that stuff out."
"Junghee, you’re our guest-"
"I insist." she said in a small voice and the elders shrugged, nodding and thanking the girls before stepping out of the dining room to allow them to clean up.
"Fuck," Junghee breathed as Taeyeon kept watch to make sure no one came back in and caught her girlfriend gripping the edge of the table and rocking herself in the chair.
Taeyeon clicked redial for the thirty eighth time that night as Junghee came with a hiss, pulling her cell phone out of her jeans and pocketing it in her hoodie. “I hate you.” she groaned as Taeyeon dropped a kiss on the top of her head.
"Yeah, yeah." she chuckled and squeezed the elder’s shoulders. "Go set up the coffee maker, will ya?"
