It's been so long, I'm not sure what the fandom consensus on anything is! But personally, I dislike stuff that glosses over the Very Canon Child Abuse and pretends the Ravagers were a cute, fluffy, happy family. Peter had every goddamn right to walk away and not look back!
...But at the same time, there's a reason he spent almost thirty years with the Ravagers before running away, and he always wore the flame patch on his arm.
Yondu was a shit dad in a shit situation who had an incredibly shit childhood and 0 clue how to raise a boy. Still, he loved that kid. And that doesn't make any of it okay - but equally, that love was always there.
I'm inevitably drawn in by complex familial relationships with hurt, hate, and heartbreak on all sides...
Oh yeah, and I adore trans!Peter! He LOVES space, because no one gives a damn!
I neeedddd to talk about the fact that kraglin looks so sleepy here. He's staring directly at the clerk to make sure he doesn't try anything, but he's also soooo tired looking. Overworked. Underpaid. Forced to be yondus personal bodyguard while he looks at trinkets

I'm back for a short time, at the moment job search is draining me💀 I have to apply for a job soon because my insurance isn't gonna pay anymore lol and well, being depressed for like two years doesn't make this any better😅
But I have hope that when I have a job, it'll all get settled. But then I'll not have much time for art left :/

I need Yondu violently sobbing, while he lays in Kraglins lap. Like, absolutely destroyed by his own feelings and sobbing so hard he can't breathe properly, tears streaming down like waterfalls and he needs to be curled up on himself, as small as possible. Trying and trying and trying to stop being this weak and failing so miserably at it.
idk i'm gay and it's pride month and I like to write these characters as queer as possible so i wanna share my personal headcanons for each of the gang.
Peter: Bisexual. This man has fucked aliens with tentacles and needles for teeth and you're telling me he draws the line at men? No way. He and Thor totally pity-banged each other once.
Gamora: I have no reason for this whatsoever, but I really want Gamora to be bi, too. Ravager!Gamora uses her freedom from Thanos to experiment a little in that regard.
Nebula: Nebula gives off pansexual vibes to me in the sense that I feel she very rarely feels attraction at all and when she does, the person's gender doesn't factor into it. I also feel like she'd be demisexual. Also I sometimes headcanon her as trans or genderqueer, usually in Human AUs.
Drax: I feel like Drax is omnisexual and attracted to more masculine traits and appearances. The way he was talking about Thor lol. He likes his women buff and that's a mood.
Mantis: There are two versions of Mantis that exist in my head. One of them is aroace purely because of this one interview I saw with Pom Klementieff back in 2017 where she said she didn't think Mantis was "sexual", but I feel like it's kinda lame to headcanon the "cute and innocent" character as being ace xD. So then there's also my other version of Mantis that's a lesbian and kinda covertly horny xD (I write her as gay in Time After Time lol)
Kraglin: He's pan, too, and kind of a serial dater. He also gives me poly vibes for some reason. He and Yondu totally had something going on; I like shipping them legitly and as exes xD
Yondu: This man wouldn't give two shits about labels. He just knows when he's attracted to someone and doesn't care about what their gender is.
Rocket: I don't ship Rocket with anyone, but since writing Loud Love and getting a comment about it, I lean hard into this raccoon being a sex-repulsed ace.
Adam: Adam is kinda too child-coded for me to ship with anyone and I'm unsure of an exact headcanon for him but I love the idea of people of all genders hitting on him because he's handsome and Adam having no idea that's what's happening.

• Yondu would be such an old-fashioned kind of guy. Like I'm sure that Peter taught him some things because Yondu was used to just hooking up with women and yk all that but then he realised he was in love with Kraglin and his first thought was "..well shit."
• If the ships were a trope I'd think they'd be;
Starmora: Star-crossed lovers
Starbula: Opposites attract
Bugborg: Sunshine and Grumpy
Kragdu: Captain and his Right hand man
• When Quill told Rocket about his crush on Gamora, Rocket laughed straight in his face. Bc obviously that's what he'd probably do but anyways- Rocket was always silently rooting for them like he'd kind of try to set them up on missions and use the "I'm the captain so do as I say" excuse but it was never really that
• Nebula was obviously upset when Gamora died, but during gotg 3 she had feelings for Quill but the fact that he couldn't get over Gamora? It shattered her heart everytime he'd call out to Gamora while asleep or absolutely hammered.
• Mantis had a crush on Nebula since they first met probably at the end of gotg 2 at one point, like Mantis took one look and she might as well have said "WHO IS THIS FINE WOMAN ON THE SHIP?" And her crush just got worse once Nebula joined the team
• Rocket sees the smallest bit of romance in a movie or in real life and instantly just hates on it. Like- Quill and Gamora holding hands? "Get a grip of yourselves we're on a mission." And heaven forbid he catches them doing anything more than that 😭
• Kraglin tried to deny his feelings at first and simply put them to 'best friends' (he was in heavy denial leave him alone.) Because Yondu was so focused on little Quill, Kraglin thought that Yondu only cared because he was his 'right hand man'
• Kraglin regrets ever turning on Yondu, like always. The amount of guilt he carried with him knowing that the last thing he did besides help was turn on him and get his friends killed? Devastating. He still thinks he doesn't deserve the arrow.
