Just had a realisation thinking about the latest bts and how naturally they just come up with silly little songs on the spot when they're bouncing it off each other. What if this was something they already did during their time together in s1, and Ed composing sad songs in the blanket fort was him trying to recapture some of that magic, and calling Lucius in because doing it alone just doesn't work, it doesn't feel right, but it still wasn't the same as with Stede🥲🫠😭

Hey everyone, just a gentle reminder. Stede may have said he loves everything about Ed. But Ed hasn't said anything of the sort to Stede. He hasn't told him that he also loves everything about him -- that he loves Stede just the way he is.

He doesn't realize that his fear of being unlovable is a reality that Stede has faced every single day -- how much Stede wishes he could be someone he's not if it meant he could be loved. And how a simple "I love you...as you are" could mend the shattered pieces of Stede's longing soul.
