krashath: arrow in the knee

The Argonian who had her blamed for murder has walked by the side of the road at least twelve times. Most of those times, he’s just ignored her, and nearly every time he’s had the obstinacy to not be real.

Everyone is so selfish. All Ma’Ridhinna had wanted from the jail was freedom and her possessions back. It gave her freedom, but also a festering gash in her shoulder. It isn’t something that would usually bother her as long as she’d been able to get back her potions. Now the wound itself feels like it is clawing into her, and all her bones ache, and after washing the cut in the river she’s barely had the strength to curl up and watch the parade of unhelpful people pass.

“Assassin,” she hisses when she sees him. “Help. La’Ridhinna will do anything for him if he helps.”

“Ma’Ridhinna dreamt that she could fly, but she did not know how to land, so she flew up until she came up out of the ground again. Then she found that she could not stand, and had to drag herself to a river to drink. Then fell into the river, and then upwards into the sky again… It went on for many days like this, with the hours pressed into each other, until this one woke.”

"This one only has nightmares that she cannot save the ones she loves. She has to watch her young friends die before her and she cannot do anything to help.” This is a lie. She has a recurring dream that people are chasing her, trying to have her killed for crimes she’d never commit, but there is no way to outrun them, and when she tries to explain she’s innocent, her mouth clamps shut.

☯ - odd sleeping habits

“This one will sleep whereever she is tired.” Except in any property owned by someone she’s killed. Even if it’s far away from any other comfortable place, she’ll either stay awake long enough to find somewhere nice, or just crash outside in a bush or something.
