So I read krasskova's post and it basically boils down to "what I think the old ways are is the best way". I mean they can say to be their student you must x, but they specifically mentioned that pop culture is paganism is a reason Tumblr is shit

They can say it to their student, but that doesn’t make it okay, given their past history.

Pop Culture Paganism is larger than just tumblr, and is just as viable as any other religious practice, but I’d expect that from Krasskova. The Piety Posse has had a stick up their ass for years about PCP. Because it’s totes ruining everything, just like everything else that isn’t part of their narrow views on What Is Acceptable in Paganism Polytheism.

A lot of ppl think Tumblr is shit. Most of those people lean towards racist and classist thinking, ngl. given what Krasskova has said in the past, I’m not surprised about anything that falls out of their mouth anymore. They don’t deserve to be in a position of power, and I fear for anyone who happens to trust her to guide them–religiously or otherwise.

So I've learned today that I'm part of the problem because I don't tell laypeople that there are rules

Which is funny when you consider that you read some of my basic of basic guides, I mention ritual purity as a concept, and I mention some of the simple ways that ritual purity can be used by a lay person.

Same with offerings. I mention the safest of the safe so that ritual purity and taboos are kept in mind (even though the rules changed over the years).

Shows just how little someone knows about some people and how much certain people assume things.

Just because I tell folks not to worry too much about purity, just because I tell people that I believe that gods should be held accountable doesn't mean that I don't believe that there are better and worse ways to do things. Doesn't mean I haven't spent time on my knees out of respect for the gods.

Just means that that I respect that not everyone is going to do it how I do it, and that's okay.

Maybe she should add respect as a value. She loves to preach about respecting the gods, and yet forgets that she should probably respect her fellow man, too.

So I read how to be an Awesome, True and Real Polytheist

Because only Krasskova is privy to the seekretz of being a True Polytheist(tm)

and I love how only women can seemingly squander their sexuality.

Way to be classy.

Way to lump all of us polytheists together into one big fuck fest, too. Because, you know, we're all the same and we all believe the same stuff.

I was thinking of taking the week off for blogging, as my brain has been in a haze. But now I might have some motivation to pick up my spoon.
