peace and quiet. something difficult to earn in your line of work i take it, but something so very precious.

a patience uncomparable. it was something learned, wasn't it? you had to be patient, because the alternative was worse. it makes the job easier too.

stay at home date nights. small tales, repeating nonsense phrases about how strange your day was. cracking a smile at a joke he makes.

transcendence. you've surpassed most people, but it's not in the best way. it's not the romanticized version of what people perceive it to be, but it works. you do what you must.

a caged bird's lament. 

the echoes of a violin playing through an empty once-home.

bittersweet memories. you don't know how to handle them sometimes.

heartache. but in a good way. death does not mean you stop caring. it just means you can appreciate life a little more.
