if you're gonna read the first House of Night book I should let you know that my friend is a HUGE fan of them and one of the lines in the later books literally ends with "the poopie hit the fan."

Depends on what you mean by something? There are these problems that are the only ones where the Stus are gay.
I see a lot of OCs who are Sebastian/Grell lovechildren???? Idk I mean... I have yet to see ONE with an actual personality and not a mix of the parents' personalities. I. Just. Want. ONE.
Love Children. Don’t. Work. I guess this is because I have to have logic and biology has to give an OK, but I don’t think you can really make a Love Child between two of the same gender unless specified in canon that it’s possible. BUT ANYWAYS, Yeah, love children tend to be Sues. Because they assume that children have their parent’s personalities? I don’t know. They seem to fall flat and boring and unthought out.
