this relationship is one that has been formed since she was a little child. i’d like to think that war was simply this little voice in her ear, the voice that guided her in battle, that caused her to seek conflict, that forced her to become the greatest warrior on parnassos. she found comfort in war. phasma is essentially a creation of war’s influence, a child of it. eventually, that little voice faded & it was replaced by phasma’s own. but more recently, their relationship is strained upon war’s return in a spectral form. one that could drive her to madness. phasma has failed, nearly losing her life, her position of power in jeopardy. war returns to council her creation, to push her to greater limits, to realize whatever she is destined for. perhaps that is what causes phasma’s gaze to turn to the throne, to seize all power in the name of war. in the sickest and strangest of forms, phasma loves war, has an intimate with war, she finds solace in the carnage they wrought. but war is also one of phasma’s greatest demons as well. it’s almost like this dr. frankenstein & the creature dynamic but better.
