I hate her bc she scares me :( I don't like how she moves. I don't begrudge her for living and I'm glad she made a web where someone's nice to her I'm just glad she's not anywhere near me bc that would be very scary and I would have to ask someone else to move her. also s/o to her for lowering horsefly populations fuck horseflies. as for why I hate orbweavers in particular, they make webs based on airflow afaik to catch bugs so they'll do it in places that are really easy for me to walk into and that's scary. exception is spiny orbweavers which I find charming bc they don't really look like spiders and I appreciate them making their webs more visible with thick strands so birds don't fly through them and I don't either.
