The First Judgement
Today, we had a self-assessment, means no guidance and we have to do it all ourselves with no hint and tips, and so we did our best.
At first, we were given the ingredient and thEY GAVE US MARGARINE AGAIN. I know the instructor must be right that there wont be problem, but thats not the case since a lot if group is having a problem because of the ingredient, but I dont want to deal with it again, so our group decided to buy actual butter in our own expense.
And I was right!
After using the butter as ingredient our frosting looks a lot more like... frosting, no issue whatsoever, though I wanna know for someone who knows baking if I am actually right to use butter instead of margarine for this. But ye, all in all were not having anymore problem, though our design is kinda.. bit messy? or lacks presentation, eitherway, we succeed, we passed and enjoyed this moment.
For now, we will have rest days until were being called for final assessment... The Final Judgement...
Bread Cake diary
A new week and also the last week.. honestly I dont think the days were fast, feels slow a bit. Today, we got Chiffon cake for preparation of cake making in the following day, then after that were gonna have self-assessment day, means no guide so were on our own. Not like its much of an issue since most of it are easy to follow.
Kinda messy at tops, but I like the result, especially on rolls :)
Bread Chip Cookie Diary
Today is quite easy, same as yesterday's cookie, chocolate chip cookie. I say it is really easy to do and I wanted to make this at home! Some of the chips on the cookie sank to the bottom before it was being baked, so we made on a separate pan that had to put the chips manually on top so the result was there.
Also, I had to make the bigger one from the extras, and it do really big ahaha
next week, we gon start bakin cAKES

We finally started the Bread and Pastry Production training, we started off with simple Soft roll.
at the moment, were only allowed to bake anything were taught. I aim to learn to bake sour dough bread or Baguette, kind of ambitious for first time baker XD

It the new week, means more training days ahead! Right now were still baking Soft Roll, but they let us do anything to give it a little extra.
I present to ye, Soft roll with butter cream on top and some cheese, supposed to call it "Ensaymada" but the bread is different. Though to be honest, we kind of overbaked it a bit so its a bit brown-ish... but hEY! Practice makes perfect, and were still satisfied regardless! <3
