        “you’re the most indecisive person i’ve ever met, you know that right?” krishna huffed, looking down at his phone as he scrolled up and down the screen. they had been sitting in his car for twenty minutes trying to decide on what movie to go see. “do you even wanna see a movie? do you just wanna go get something to eat and then go chill at my place?” his parents travelled a lot on business, almost too much actually, and he‘d been used to being in the house alone since he was fourteen. “we can use the theater in the basement to watch netflix.”

          “you’re boring,” krishna complains loudly as he lays with his back against the floor and his legs resting up on the couch, his hair spread out around his head on the carpet. “i came to visit you to have fun, not to sit here and watch you do nothing.” he nudges the other’s thigh with his foot roughly. “let’s go out or something. i need to stretch my legs and get some fresh air. or stale air from the inside of a bar - either way, i wanna get out of this house.”

krishna didn’t really get nervous or feel anxious, but he had been buzzing all week. he had set up this little skype date with jord a few days prior, and he hadn’t been able to calm down since. his friends, well the ones that he had told about her, had been teasing him consistently about it. what kind of twenty one  year old man got nervous going on a date? that answer was simple; krishna. he’d had his laptop set up for over an hour, patiently, or not so patiently, waiting for her to log on. as soon as he got the chime notifying him of her arrival, he felt a smile spread across his face, and with a few clicks of his mouse, the video call was initiated.

     ever since that night he had spent with kelley during the thunderstorm, krishna had found himself spending more and more time with the blond boy. even though he still moved out, he spent quite a bit of time over at his apartment - at least three days a week, five being the most. it was slowly but surely starting to become easier for him to spend time around the other boy, and he was grateful for that. but he still felt as though he needed to walk on egg shells when spending time with him. he didn’t want to do anything that would upset kelley, and he could feel himself beginning to rile up old feelings he had worked so hard to bury deep down. he didn’t want to risk whatever friendship they were rekindling just to try to jump head first back into dating. “are you ready yet? you’re going to make us miss our movie,” kris called out to kelley from his spot on the couch in the living room.

     “Are you planning on making this an all the time sorta thing?” Krishna asked when they sat down next to him at the bar, amusement evident on his features. “You don’t have to pay me just to be your friend and hang out with you, you know that, right? I don’t mind. I’m not even on the clock tonight, so you can enjoy my company free of charge,” he teased.

     “See? I told you parents were gonna love you, trust me.” Krishna adjusted the other’s collar gently, giving him a bright smile. “And you only had your face pinched by three elderly women. That’s a win in my book.” He leaned against the wall of the kitchen, finally being able to pull the other boy away from his family long enough to get some quiet time with him. “Are you having fun?”
