Hmmm I support ndp and never heard about this lol. I don’t think it’s a good idea bc 14 year olds didn’t even have civics class yet lol

The policy motion literally requires the civics curriculum to be rewritten and made comprehensive to allow 14 year olds to vote. It would likely be introduced and built upon every year, so by the time you’re 14 you know everything about how the government works and how to vote.

They’re not just going to change nothing and just lower the age.

Not sure if I’m allowed to do this here (my apologies if not) but I’m looking for students from Ontario who have or are doing their masters in the UK? It’s hard to find info about this and I’m curious about your experiences! And wondering if you can still use OSAP for that and if ford has said anything about fucking that up too? I’m going into my fourth year and so far have the equivalent of a 2:1 but I’m aiming to raise my gpa to match a first. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

How will I be able to get more info about Toronto’s candidates before the municipal election? I’ve never voted in a municipal election before and I’m new to the city. Thanks so much. :)

The City of Toronto has a page full of information on the municipal elections:

Also most candidates have twitter pages, so you can learn more about them pretty easily once you know their names.

I’m really not sure who is running for which ward anymore though given Doug Ford’s actions today. o.o
