Talk about pushing the blame around LOL.
If you guys paid attention to her defense (or if you are interested in rhetoric / argument), you would find this interesting XD She goes through different phases: “pitiful me”, pleading and begging, angry at the world, threatening him.
She uses a lot of logical fallacies, such as:
- Appeal to Emotion (“I did it because of you!”) - Appeal to Authority (”I’m your Teacher! I brought you up!”) - Argument from Adverse Consequence (”What would happen if you called the cops? What benefit would that do to everyone? Everyone would be sad!”) - Appeal to a Lack of Evidence (“What evidence do you have? Just a few recordings of me? What good would that do?”) - Either/Or Fallacy (“If I didn’t take the money, I’d lose my daughter.”)
There are so many more but you see that? In any argumentative discourse, make sure you look out for logical fallacies! Especially you people who are in a relationship. If your significant other is spewing out “reasons” (read: logical fallacies, aka lies, excuses), then you know ... their defense is faulty and they cannot form a logical argument to back them up.

Jokes aside, she was fantastic in this role and I don’t think anybody else could’ve done as well as she did! It’s safe to say that everybody was impressed and I hear things about “Best Actress” already... bit too quick for that, but this will be one of the noms for sure.
re: ending I don’t think there could’ve been a good ending for Cal姐 because of her downward spiral. She would’ve either died, gone to jail, or gone crazy (it’s probably for the best that she did). But anyway, this drama was pretty ‘different’ and it really shows how TVB’s moving forward. Props!
