23. LOVE TRIANGLE - #guidinglight 's MINDY/RICK/ROXIE ❤️🔺was the first & therefore the most important in my soap opera history. This storyline was greatly enhanced by giving Mindy & Roxie a rich backstory as childhood enemies. Needless to say, they lived to catfight. 20. RECAST Part 2 - #mindylewis on #guidinglight When fan fave & my personal favorite #kristatesreau left the show in 1988 it would be an understatement to say that I was devastated. I had not had this happen during my now six year tenure as a soap fan & it didn't help that Tesreau had been there since the beginning. Of course, I knew she was Krista & not Mindy (unlike some soap fans) & I wanted/expected her to make it big in Hollywood. In revolt, I stopped watching GL & switched to #santabarbara & was instantly hooked (despite an initial character I was interested in being immediately raped & murdered: #AllyWalker as Andrea Bedford - she was some type of undercover government agent & childhood best friend of #EdenCapwellCastillo. My best friend was still the biggest GL fan & he told me that Mindy was coming back - albeit a recast. In my defense - I was 12. I despised #kimberlysimms - matters were made worse by the following thing: -they made the character a fashion designer (something I always wanted for Tesreau's version). -they gave her an incredible storyline that romantically paired her with #RogerThorpe who was her father's sworn enemy. -Simms proved popular with fans & made the role her own. I'm over it now (well kinda) - but boy was I pissed about this. Both Simms & Tesreau returned for guest appearances, but Tesreau's were more & she came back during the last few months of the show. 🔥 #flamesonthesideofmyface #shamefulclutterssoapoperachallenge
