kabuto's reputation gave me the impression that it was constantly very wild and bizarre so i'm a bit surprised by it being probably one of the most tonally congruent rider seasons i've seen. it mostly juggles its cast fairly well and everyone is all very colorful, it's very enjoyable
seeing the suits is always an event in tokusatsu, but the dynamic armor for the hero cast is especially fun here. all the silhouettes feel very smart and full of character ^^
the food-life-philosophy writing is interesting to see come up again. as a theme, it's very appreciable because it's often so instantly relevant and relateable
particularly, the way tendou communicates and connects to others through food (his rapport with hiyori, yaguruma, and jiiya; while quiet, the way his immense consideration shows through towards jyuka) really does well to imbue his character with a lot of warmth while further establishing his particular values
