What if the only reason Acronix joined his brother in attacking the Elemental Alliance after the Serpentine Wars was because Ray rejected him and he's being petty?

★ "The timewielder's gaze fixated on Ray, amber eyes filled with something fierce, something... Painful. His grip on his bo staff tightened as the emotions flooded his veins. Sorrow, anger and grief of a relationship he could never have.
Just as he bolted towards the fire master, ready to strike a blow, another familiar face appeared between them. Maya blocked the attack, shielding her friend. Friend... Acronix only wished. He gritted his teeth. It could've been him. It should've been him.
Even though she managed to defend her beloved, Maya's balance faltered, just for a brief second. But it was enough for Acronix to notice and take advantage of it. He struck again. Everything happened too fast and Ray had no time to react. The next second, Acronix was already behind him, whispering into his ear in a low, dangerous tone.
