turns out there's an untapped group of knifetrick fans on Instagram that are still around and its been wild
they still love the story! they're actively rereading it! there's people starting it for the first time! I've managed to achieve an audience for something I made fanart for for 4 years come november that I only thought was possible for huge fandoms the same way I did for the dsmp back in 2021
the way that this "little" fanfic of an obscure segment of an online fandom would lead me down a path of recognition to this extent both online and in person (including my LOCAL GOVERNMENT) is a testament not only to the skills I've learned but to the content it was born from.
I've had plenty of time to think over what this story has done for me and how good it really was for its time (while STILL gaining more fans each day) and I cannot be more honored to help push it forward. I get comments all the time on how much people loved certain parts of the story, its writing style, how it kept readers on edge, etc; and it seems to come back so naturally and on the spot upon seeing my rendition of something so beloved even years after its ending.
I've somehow been able to find unique ways to bring this thing to life, so much so that at least HALF of my collegiate work (and we aren't even done), which has been reviewed by tenured professors with YEARS of knowledge ahead of me, commend the rhetoric value of each detail which oftentimes is me telling the story verbatim, I just include pictures. If I could continue this work professionally, that'd be a dream.
All this to say I love this story. Many people do. At least 10k (Ten Thousand) of them do. If I could continue to have the honor of being the frontman of its visual interpretation for the foreseeable future, I will simply do as I've done, simply with a larger audience.
Over 100k people have seen this video and while it is indeed my art, to disregard the influence of Knifetrick would be to disregard the piece itself. I could not be here without you, so thank you for giving me a place in this wonderful fandom.
