This was... getting difficult. What Iah wanted was to start trying to make his room a bit more green. However, he was awful with plants and knew he was going to mess up at some point. To hopefully give himself more chances to get it right, he brought a small wagon to town and bought several plants.

Sadly, the wagon had other plans and decided that it only needed three wheels instead of four, causing all of his newly acquired leafy friends to fall out. Sighing, the vampire looked around, calling out to the first person he saw. "Um, would you mind helping me for a moment?"

With the collar no longer active, the guard felt more free than he had in a very long time. It seemed as though the voice he had heard a few days ago had been real after all. Now came the question of what to do and how much trust he had in what was happening. If he sided with the rebels, he would be killed if the vampires won and vice versa. In truth, what he wanted was to stay neutral and just tear apart whoever was unfortunate enough to come his way. The wendigo was hungry, very hungry.

Assuming his natural form, he only felt the hunger grow.

His head turned toward the closest noise and he ran over, seeing the destruction and bodies on the floor. His eyes fell on the first living person he saw, his mind nearly overwhelmed with hunger as he stalked closer. Whichever side this person was on was starting to matter less and less to the starving monster. “Will you run?” He wanted a hunt.

The best part of his time in the castle was when he was allow to swim. It was completely necessary for his survival and he knew that was the only reason he was allowed to swim. However, Taras really didn’t care about the reason. As long as he got to swim, there was nothing else he needed. Coming up from the water, he pushed some water out of his hair and laughed, waving to the closest person he could see. “So, what are your biggest dreams? I mean, they’re not going to come true, but it’s fun, you know? Mine?”

“But seriously, I would be fucking terrible in charge of a garden party, let alone the world. Nope.”

The wendigo growled, looking around at the unfamiliar setting. There were people here, he could smell them, and he wanted more than anything else to tear them apart. Stalking toward the nearest smell, he moved silently through the woods, eyes flicking around as he searched. Long claws left gouges in the trees he passed, sharp teeth not allowing his mouth to quite close all the way. When he spotted his prey, his eyes zeroed in on the man as Hwan pulled the darkness down around him. This was his favorite part, the hunt. What would his fresh prey do as the predator stalked toward them?

Hwan actually liked the winter and in particular the nights. His hunts had been easier then and the cold suited him. Walking along the castle grounds after his shift had become the most relaxing thing for him and he found a place to sit on a snow-covered bench. Taking out a carving knife and small piece of wood, he set to work. Yes, he had taken the knife from the art room, but he didn’t care very much and it had been a few weeks without anyone noticing. Next time he was in town, he would try to find one for himself. He had just gotten himself into a state of peace when he heard the telltale crunch of someone walking along the snow. “It’s late,” he sighed, “and you’ll freeze if you stay here. What would make you brave the cold?”

Iah’s entire purpose in coming to the castle was to forget, although the only thought currently in his mind was how he could murder his friend. However, the other vampire wasn’t in the castle and he needed to refocus himself. Reaching up toward the shelf, Iah pulled one of the books down, opening it absently before settling it under his arm and moving toward one of the chairs over by the windows. As he almost ran into another, the vampire huffed softly. “I hope you weren’t looking for this particular volume. I’m keeping it.”

Class

It seemed as though whatever was going on in the castle had taken its sweet time getting to him and Hwan had almost thought he would make it out of this madness unscathed. However. that was not to be and he soon found his mind scrambled. When the initial strange feeling wore off, he was rather certain his career path had changed. No longer was he a guard, no, he had a new job. Walking through the hallways close to the master suites, he knew this was where he needed to be. Spotting someone close by, he grinned. “I’m sure you can do much better than the slaves.”

— Caelan Vale moved quietly through the corridors of Krovs Castle, the familiar weight of the collar around his neck had become such a constant reminder of where he now belonged, that he no longer noticed the pressure against his skin nor did he quite let it define who he was. The Undercroft had its own rhythm by now; soft footsteps, hushed voices, the occasional distant command echoing down stone halls, and Caelan had learned how to move within it like a gentle current through a froest creek. He paused near one of the communal spaces, hands loosely clasped in front of him, offering a polite smile to anyone who passed as if it were the most natural thing in the world to still greet others with warmth here. There was an openness in his expression that didn’t quite match the place, an unguarded kindness that lingered even after everything he had lost, as though he were quietly inviting conversation rather than avoiding it. “Hello,” he greeted softly to someone nearby, his gaze lifting with calm curiosity, "This is a pleasant surprise- I didn't expect to see you here."
