Plot Call
Hello! To get on with Ren’s developmental plotline, I need for her to have a strong base of connections that are not mainly npcs. New relations are welcomed, but pre-established ones preferred, especially with those of similar story-themes.
Under the cut are some story specific plots and some general ones that I would really love to fill. That being said, by no means do we have to be limited to them. Please message me if anything interests you! ; u ;
Please note that plots marked with * are not thought up by me.
Storyline Specific:
Friends and Rivals - [ Open 0-> ]
This person was either one of the members of SAU during Renata’s time in it, or is/was a member of Horus. They’ve lived together through countless mutual training, field missions, and research assignments. Their relationship is that of tight friendship, and it is decorated with evident rivalry that seeps into their adulthood from the early years spent together.
Note that Horus/ISCA/SAU function all over the globe. And not all their members are full-time.
They can be independent or part of separate secret societies/guilds/cults/etc and collaborate with Horus/ISCA when needed.
Being an agent of ISCA or any of its branches does not mean the agent is not allowed to be part of other groups.
P.S. Please be aware that being an agent of Horus does not mean your muse has to have supernatural/mutant powers. They can be perfectly human in composition, but with a unique skill or talent. Then they’d be given all the cool gadgets to step up their game when dealing with paranormals.
Living Memory - [ Open 0-1 ]
Due to one circumstance or another, the two of them find themselves working side by side, be it for the same cause or not. They could’ve ran into each other more than once in search for information, got attacked and worked together to defend themselves, you name it. This person reminds her of the old times when her partner was alive, and her friends were around. This person reminds her of how work felt less lonely because she was not doing it alone. They bring back nostalgic feelings, and she might end up developing a soft spot for this person.
McTwisp - [ Open 0-1 ]
He is her personal secretary and deputy be it in Horus or Faulkner matters. He is the one that wakes her up at 4 in the morning to remind her of an official meeting at 5:30am, or the one that arranges for her flights and accommodations on her assignments and travels. He’s the one that types up the reports once she voice-records them, and the one that attends to her affairs on her behalf when she’s unable to. Their relationship is that of loyalty, and dark humour. He’s her right hand man, that without him, her life would be an evident mess.
Special requirements:
He is of an older age. If less than a decade older than herself, then it is due to inheriting the role from another person.
He is organized, punctual with time, and serious about formalities.
For an upcoming plot, Ren will have a lot of enemies amongst the people she has trusted the most during her lifetime. You would be free to choose McTwisp’s loyalties.
P.S. His name doesn’t have anything to do with the name “McTwisp”, it’s simply a nickname based on an inside joke between him and Ren.
Wolf in Sheep’s Skin - [ Open 0-1 ]
Through her eyes, this person is her friend. They’ve done enough to gain her trust, enough for her to open up to them. Little did she know about the main reason this person appeared in her, nor about their true motives. This person reports directly to her enemies, giving them a detailed report on her moves and whereabouts. The extent of danger this might prove to be would be discovered in time, however, how will their friendship be affected by it? Was the friendship mutually real at any point in time?
Target of Revenge [ Open 0-3 ]
Version A
Ren always reviews case files, and makes sure she is well informed of the crimes of her targets, especially if her job consists of termination and less so diplomacy. But sometimes, [and especially with some Meliora alteration], the facts are wrong, which puts her unknowingly in the wrong. She hurt you, or someone you care for, and you can’t forgive her for that.
Version B
The facts were not wrong. You or someone(s) you care for were killed, arrested, or brutally handled for fair reasons. But you still cannot accept it, and you vow for revenge.
Betrothal Rejected [ Open 0-1 ]
The Faulkner family is an old European family with rich heritage. Their modern day wealth is not to be missed on the global boards either. They are involved in various fields, from politics to medicine to military. Though they are one of the last remaining families of alchemists, (though it is not uncommon for a member of the family to not possess any alchemic powers due to intermarriage).
After her parents’ death, her uncle became the head of the family. Now Renata loves him just as much as she loves anyone else in her family, but when he tells her that he’s arranged for her marriage, all hell breaks loose.
I will be flexible about the details of this plot.
Your muse does not have to be a total stranger for Ren, she might even think of him as a friend, or admire him for whatever reason, but she is simply against being pressured to marry anyone, and that is what causes the problems.
You are free to have your muse actually be interested in this marriage, (be it for political (human or supernatural), financial, or actually intimate reasons), or not at all.
General Plots:
A Fine Feathered Friend - [ Open 0-1 ] *
Muse A has always loved nature. Even though they live in an urban area, they find the time to walk to the local park every day and spend a few quiet moments enjoying the greenery and animals around them. They always relax on the same wooden bench and lately have been noticing the animals seem to have grown accustomed to their presence. In particular one beautiful, curious crow. It keeps its distance, but always appears so intelligent and sharp, watching intently with its ebony eyes.
One day Muse A brings a small bag of trail mix as an offering to their new feathered friend. The crow caws happily and devours the assortment of raisins and nuts. The following day Muse A returns with a snack and the crow is there, this time with a shiny twist of metal in its beak. When the treats are scattered along the ground, the bird drops the paperclip - a gift - at Muse A’s feet.
This ritual exchange carries on until one day, the crow doesn’t show. Muse A is heartbroken, missing the therapeutic one-sided talks and charming company of their wild friend. Muse B appears, seemingly out of nowhere and sits down on the wooden bench beside a visibly distraught Muse A. Wordlessly, Muse B hands Muse A a small metal trinket, a perfect addition to Muse A’s collection. Is the gesture enough to reveal the truth about Muse B? The shapeshifter had been their crow companion the entire time.
