DU™️ #DURDT #KRPLS #Repost @chris_chrismas ・・・ My computer broke last week and I’m waiting for a new one. Meanwhile I’m jamming dawless. Time to dust off one of the modules I haven’t been using in the last months or so: the @detroitunderground and @mengqimusic collaboration DU-KRPLS. In other words: This one is for the nerds. The other guys in this rather experimental and beat-heavy band: @dreadbox.fx Drips with the clock and the beat, the DU-RDT which triggers (randomly) the kick and the snare of @ericasynths pico drums, while the straight beats of the DU-RDT go into the @tiptopaudiofficial TG one, and into the DU-KRPLS (this is the string-like sound which comes up time and again when the filter opens up). The @doepfer_musikelektronik LFO plays the, uhm, melodies on the Drips, and the TG one. The DU-KRPLS goes into the feedback module by Dave Smith, which adds some melodic variety via the tuning-knob, and some dub-feeling because the resonance is low which brings up its delay features. Part of the Drips and the TG one stays clean, while the other part goes into the Rêver by @oldbloodnoise. Another “melodic” aspect comes into play when I turn the Acapulco Gold on - this doom pedal by @earthquakerdev takes the Erica synths pico drums-sounds and makes up this nice distorted bass. Needless to say that I bought that stuff from my own money and that this is not intended to be affiliate marketing.
