The occasion I look back at my old characters I feel a little sad, for I was filled with great joy being able to bring them to life. Memories of the material they were from slowly fade away, their backstories I've spent months simply unused or forgotten; finished in my mind but yet laid out in pen.

Despite this, I lovingly place them upon a shelf. High and sturdy, so they are able to watch the new stories they have helped me learn to write.

Sorry if this a very uncomfortable question but I'm just really curious bc what does Krueger think about the age gap of his relationship with Nak. Since it is considerably big and Nak is an adult just still she is a young adult and stuff hdjdjd idk sorry if it's rlly uncomfortable but ur ocxcanon makes me so curious about their relationship. Sorry I haven't been keeping up with Asks recently, college just started and I haven't had time to draw my little doodles- so have just a visual for now; this is gonna be super headcanon heavy so bear with me :0

Krueger Thoughts

I think Krueger didn't really pay much mind to their age gap when they started being a couple.

Krueger mentally didn't change much after killing his parents, hell, he was emotionally stunted before that too. So he's kind of just been stuck at 27 for a while now.

He did worry initially if Nak likes him because they spend a lot of their time together and she thinks that automatically means she has to have romantic interest in him or if she likes him because he's the first guy she finds somewhat attractive.

So he quickly asked her directly to get it out of the way. It was more like a back and forth interrogation than asking the specific terms of their relationship.

It relieved Krueger significantly seeing that Phayvanh isn't dependent on him. She's still able to be her own person with or without him. She pays her own bills, has her own place, she's good at her job, she gets to hang out with her friends, and she tries her best to communicate clearly with him, etc.

Krueger often made sure everything in their relationship was set at her own pace that she was comfortable with. He doesn't want to cross any boundaries with her or force her into doing something she doesn't want to.

There's not really a power dynamic between them since Nak has more experience in terms of being in the field (Documented and Undocumented) she's not some naïve woman who got shipped off to Urzikstan.

Phayvanh could be years older than him and he'd still date her because he just genuinely likes her.

have you thought of an endgame for Nak and Krueger?? like how they'll be like when they're much older? do they have any kids?? are they decent parents if they do?

Howdy Anon, It's 1 am for me so there's no art, you have to pretend that when this happens I'm using sock puppets of them as I ramble for an incomparable amount of time.

Oh yes I've definitely thought of their endgame. I know what it will be. I'm not telling y'all though since I'm trash at writing and conveying my thoughts on art + because there's still some quirks I have to work out but everything has been planned to death :)

I feel like Krueger wouldn't change much when he's older, he's kind of in that stage in life where he doesn't need to change to be better. Phayvanh however, there's change.

I don't know if I wanna keep this since I feel that I can't really imagine her being older like Krueger's age or in her 40s since the story I wanna tell with her is starts and ends when she's in her 20s. But my initial thoughts of an older Phayvanh is that she's much more compassionate, there would still be deep rooted issues with her temper, but she's just a kinder, happier person.

KruegerNak having children is an idea that I've tossed around in the "Non-Canon™" but I genuinely... Can't imagine the process of it being canon.

While I think it's cute and wholesome; The whole ordeal of Phayvanh carrying a baby, having to give birth, and raising it makes me nervous because I can only imagine how difficult it is in real life. I see myself alot in Krueger, so this idea translates to him as well.

I don't think they'll be good parents, nor do I think they should have children. Not because they'll be abusive or anything like that, but because they're both just too fucked up as people.

How are you going to explain to your kid that they can't see their grandparents because you killed them or the other is a dangerous person/you don't know where they are? You can't lie about this stuff, the lie will pile on until the dam breaks.

There's also just the aspects of KruegerNak being in the military as well. The child might not be able to see their mom or dad for months at a time, since they're in a PMC it's highly likely they'll be deployed often.

Phayvanh's temper and Krueger's indifference to certain situations is an aspect too. They're just better off with no kids for now until they get their shit together. And I think they find fulfillment in their work and themselves instead of kids lol
