she will smile again at the lake. still assuming we're talking about Noelle and not Dess, I think it still makes sense. Kris has been actively keeping their distance from Noelle, honestly probably because of their (likely) involvement with her sister's Dessappearance.
Maybe its to protect her. Maybe they're just afraid. it might be both.
this is probably one of their motives for sort of "wing-theming" Noelle and Susie. when shit hits the fan, Susie and Noelle can have each other. Kris knows they themself are unreliable and untrustworthy. Susie and Noelle are good for each other and they deserve each other, and Kris isn't good for either of them.

also, snowgraves hello? is the ferris wheel really only a weird route thing? i mean it makes sense; in the weird route you do insist on riding the ferris wheel with Noelle. (is that an interaction that ends up being vital to the route? i cant actually remember. i think the point still stands though.)
i love the vibes this has. "Everything about this is so wrong, but the heart wants what it wants." so real man. both Noelle and Kris, deep down, want to be reunited with each other, i think. but there is a barrier between them. multiple barriers, even.
its true that the weird route isn't doing either of them any good though. it really isn't natural what you're doing to them. obviously. (disclaimer: i dont hate you for playing the weird route, i think its awesome and i plan on starting my own weird route save)
EDIT: BTW in REALITY the light in the og photo is probably not coming from the sun. If it was a sunset it would be in the west at this time of year, and the lake is at the east of town. this light must be coming from somewhere else unless this is supposed to be early in the morning (and I don't think that's meant to be the case)
