because alec “i’m taller than a small tree” lightwood is definitely one of the most ticklish people on the planet .... like, one poke at his ribs and he’s done for??? keeling over on the floor??? laughing his guts out??? and one of the most amazing things about this is that literally nobody expects it .... when izzy found out she was shocked because her 6 foot 3 brother actually just SNORTED when they were fighting over a comic book, when izzy told jace he didn’t believe it until he got actual video evidence of alec crying because he was laughing so hard and izzy wouldn’t stop poking him, even max uses this to his advantage whenever he gets the chance and he’s eight. simon is in denial. luke thinks it’s the best thing ever??? clary, totally confused.
don’t even talk to me about when magnus finds out because alec was really dreading that day y’know. he was perfectly fine coasting through life with magnus bane not knowing that he was ticklish but then izzy ..... rats him out AGAIN (it’s always her ffs she loves it but to alec it’s a curse) ...... “hey izzy magnus and i are officially dating now i just---” two seconds later, magnus’ phone is ringing, and izzy is on the other line like “hey i heard you and my brother are official now great, did you know he’s ticklish? i have this video on my phone and---”
needless to say magnus is always tickling him, partially because he thinks his laugh is the cutest thing in this world and partially because he definitely deserves to smile more and partially because it’s an accident tbh .... like this boy is tickled by everything. and the fact that alec just “magnus stop!” in that adorable, broken with giggles voice makes magnus’ heart swoon, how can he not want to hear that his every waking moment???
