here, narinder is the only one in the family who doesn't get a crown and does not ascend into godhood simply because the lamb has the red crown. so he spends his life devoted to being a disciple to his siblings and does whatever he can to protect them
until he gets sacrificed, that is. lol.

i don't rly have a name for this au so i'm just calling it the "four becomes one" au bc. haha. the four bishops become one (its narinder). haha (id love new names though. help me)

Narinder is the only sibling out of five who never reached godhood.
It made him angry and jealous, knowing that he would never be on the same level as his siblings and would never understand what it meant to be like them. That does not waver his love for his family. For thousands of years to follow, he is their most devoted disciple. He stays by their side, worshiping them and fighting for them. When the prophecy causes panic among his siblings, he does whatever he can to ease their minds, hoping everything will be okay.
But when he, the final cat, is unwillingly slain as the final sacrifice to secure his siblings' safety in godhood, he meets The Shepherd, who proposes the offer of a lifetime. The price is to kill his siblings, free them from their chains, and fulfill the prophecy that he died for.

this chapter was really fun to write and i look forward to writing the rest of the darkwood arc!! ngl i wrote like half of this in one whole day, got bombarded by the responsibilities of life, and started writing more sporadically. hopefully i get fucked over a little less in the upcoming weeks
i hope that this is good enough of an opening so that you guys vaguely understand narinder's upbringing + just how he works here. it was so interesting to take this grumpy ass cat and try to place him in a position where he never really had power and was still just a follower (and was also not imprisoned for a thousand years so that he could grow saltier). i think it'd make him a lot more reserved, which is why he's so hopeless when it comes to actually trying to have nice conversations with people LOLL

LESHYCATT i actually got an ask regarding my own yellow cat so a ref of them is coming soon but their name is aster! and they love leshy a lot here are some hcs
- aster not only works as a farmer but as a bartender!! they allow leshy to help w them at the bar :) thats why leshys there in the sins of flesh trailer
- aster cooks for leshy bc 1. he is blind. and 2. he cannot cook. luckily it gives aster creative liberty and leshy will eat it as long as aster covers it in camellias
- aster is very good at fighting!! they were the fighter of their family before they joined the cult and carries around a garden trowel as their weapon of choice
(aster accidentally stabbed leshy in the head with their trowel once bc he scared them. they didn’t talk for a month. aster still feels bad about it to this day.)
as for my killed the cat au (yes that’s the name!), i’ve got a good portion of the first chapter done!! expect it to release in the next few days!! here’s a few thing for u guys :3
ALSO i love this concept of lamb not remembering their name......HOWS UR LAMB RELATIONSHIP W RATAU! plus ! hows ratau in ktc au if u did anything for him yet !
ratau is the lamb's father figure, but it only comes to fruition after the lamb kills narinder (they do not spare him the first time around in my canon). originally the lamb was going to sacrifice ratau to the fox bc they wanted the talisman, but after killing narinder they were heartbroken and decided that they could not bring themself to lose ratau too. secretly, ratau knows this but doesn't bring it up to them.
ratau in the ktc au is the same old ratau ^_^ nice old man who loves knucklebones and does whatever he can to help out narinder. nari is still a prickly bitch so they aren't all that close while nari's still killing his family, but they get closer when the lamb gets usurped.
OH PLUS PLUS how about aym and baal in ktc au? like are lambs disciples just speciesswapped aym and baal or are they completely different characters? if theyre speciesswapped is forneus too? if theyre different characters do aym and baal exist and are they dead....?
the lamb's disciples + "forneus" r completely different characters! meet amon, bune. and carabia
as for aym, baal, and forneus, they are actual characters and were friends of narinder, especially forneus. he watched aym and baal grow up, and would take care of them sometimes if he wasn't busy. luckily, forneus didn't die to the cat purge and instead died to old age, but the same can't be said for aym and baal.
ALSO is your lamb named lambert or you got smt else for the fella?
the lamb doesnt remember their name bc they were born in the height of the lamb massacre so a lot of their life before narinder is summed up as “running and hiding”. one time in the early days of the cult a follower asked if they had a name and they panicked and said “lambert” so that is their name no matter how much they regret it
ktc lamb’s name is aries though ! for no reason orher than a friend suggested it ans i liked the name LOL
