If i had the skills required to make an inscryption mod for Kthnaid, I’d make Shub affected by the goat eye
Kthnaid: Hostage or not, sometimes it's nice to be held.
The Raven:...
Quincy: Ay Kthnaid, what the fuck?
Are you're ocs connected to the game lore in any way?
yes, fuck yes now i get to talk about this
So, after the events of inscryption Gamefuna gets the hard drive, fucks around with the OLD_DATA, exactly what you'd expect to happen. they download the OLD_DATA onto something more secure and wipe everything from that disc, which totally works, there's no way something with 100% chance of failiure can fail twice.
So the OLD_DATA isn't removed, and now there's two of them, fuck. *massive timeskip* gamefuna sells the rights to Inscryption to Random Company Inc., and they also send over the copies of inscryption they still have, just so RCI knows what to do. They didn't remove the writing from the OLD_DATA disk, a.k.a the OLD_DISK, and the guy who packaged all the copies had no idea what was on there, so RCI now has some OLD_DATA headed their way.
RCI puts the data from the disks onto computers, so that people can play inscryption without buying a floppy disk drive, luckily they narrowly avoided sending the OLD_DATA out into the world, but they did use the OLD_DISK's code, and by extension the OLD_DATA, as the basis for inscryption's hit sequel, "Inscryption 2". Kthnaid and the others were the new generation of scrybes in that game, and the OLD_DATA is in Every, Single, Fucking, Copy. Inscryption 2 is tossed into the world, gets a whole lot of memes based on the "Every copy of Mario 64 is personalized" because every iteration of Inscryption 2 is sentient, and RCI just eventually promotes that as a feature, saying it's based on AI instead of Hiter's jacket pocket cards.
And that's the lore of how Kthnaid and the others came to be. Wow that was long.
Whatever happened to the person from An Introduction after they literally summoned a Eldritch God and looked directly at it
A Sequel
You hold the coin Kthnaid tossed you in your hand, it's dark, and seems to suck up light all around it. You are, suprisingly, sane, or at least you think you are, it's a bit hard to tell. After directly staring at Hastur, and his brilliant light, everything else seems much darker.
You return to the mainland, and rest after a long day. Over the next couple of weeks, you are sick, and your health is declining. Everything around you takes on a much darker hue, and in your dreams there's little but suffocating infinite black.
You die in your sleep 3 weeks after your return, A strange Raven is the last thing you see, you swear it's simply bones and feathers, but you know you're delusional. After all, everything else but The Raven is pitch black.
You? wake up some time later, standing in front of Kthnaid once more. They look like they're crying, but it's hard to tell. All light in the room has been snuffed, and Kthnaid hands you a deck and leads you to your room. They don't look directly at you, and for some reason you can't say anything back to him.
After a while, challengers come to the island, everything seems normal. You've learned to talk again, and Kthnaid talks to you often, rambling about his deck, or new things their challengers have done. Sometimes you catch Kthnaid staring at you longingly, and occasionally they stutter as they speak to you.
Here's the set! I drew all of the New Generation preps based off of how I interpreted them (and going off of the ref in Kthnaid and Myco's case). This RP was very fun, and I'm glad I was a part of it! My wrist is so mad, I'm not doing something like this again for a LOOOOOONG time!
I'm glad I could do something like that that people enjoy, and thank you for being such a big part of this
For the OC asks (directed at Kthnaid) [heads up, there's a LOT because Kthnaid intrigues me]:
🤥, 🎂, ☀️, 🌌, 📣, 📦, 💧, ☁️, and 🌠!
Don't worry that there's a lot, I love talking about my characters
🤥: No, Kthnaid doesn't lie often so it's very obvious when they are lying
🎂: It's whenever I put out An Introduction, not because he was techniqually born then but because I thought that would be funny
☀️: They can't tell, so it doesn't matter for them, first thing they do when they wake up is prepare for challengers
🌌: The inspiration behind Kthnaid was "Eldritch cards would be cool, someone should do something like that... wait, I can do something like that." The very first thing I decided about Kthnaid was their blindness, even before they had a canonical name they were blind
📣: Kthnaid mainly communicates through telepathy, but he isn't mute. When he uses his real voice he's very softspoken and quiet
📦: Most likely to misunderstand very obvious things, It's very clear I don't understand this prompt
💧: I'd do something with The Dark but last time that didn't quite work out. The Plant originally was Kthnaid's only close friend, as they were often bullied on account of blindness and selective muteness
☁️: Kthnaid and Quincy often bond together over shared past expiriences
🌠: They'd wish for Grace back, no second thoughts
Wait til people figure out one of Kthnaid's planned personality traits was monsterfucker, than those Kthnaid/The Dark shippers will be all over my ass
