I know you're a knitter yourself (I have that lovely scarf you sent me <3<3 thanks), but I was wondering if you had patterns for all the knit goodies you mentioned throughout the 'verse?

Not really?

If liz makes it and posts a picture I made that and would have a pattern for it, otherwise I sort of just poke around ravelry.com or google for ideas.

once again, Canadian still have 2.5 weeks not a couple days before they are due and my toddler spent two hours wearing his potty as battle armor today. math not a great idea. I’d have to redo it all tomorrow anyways so I’ll do them tomorrow and have them off via online submission on wednesday.

i find it funny that people more often than not refer to you as fishnana instead of non6. which do you prefer?

hahahaha actually both is fine to me, but I found that it's a little bit weird to include the "6" in names, so fishnana or non! 8D

Now I'm waiting for a fic where the dwarves can't escape via barrel until each of them fill a tiny jar/pouch they have on them w/ dirt. Gloin's poor moneypouch is so dirty aftewards, bard isn't sure if he's been given actual coins or not until he washes it off. Bilbo's just frustrated w/ these idiot dwarves.

hah, yes :'3 I doubt that it's as extreme as that, it's a little cracky...

but maybe all Dwarves have 'talismans' like little pieces of rock or tiny bags of dirt, something you can wear on a necklace and it never gets in the way? for some it's possibly nearly religious, but it's more of a reminder of home? Even outside of mountains the Dwarves somehow sense the earth and the rocks, but their 'talismans' are part of where they were born, or if that's not important to them, then they are parts of of their home. So that they forever remember the native rock and can find their way back?

They have something like that when they leave to the outside world, not everyone does that though. I imagine Thorin always had something of Erebor with him, and he never let it go. Or maybe Nori claims that he needs no such thing and prefers wandering and not being rooted to the spot, but he does have a piece of stone of the walls at home. Maybe some take a splinter of stone from the place where their children were born, or from the rock around their lover's house? sentimental stuff, mostly

Every time you make a new gifset of the dwarves that show their whole bodies, I go... DWARF TUMMIES!!! cuz they're so adorable and squishy looking

re anon's greek god thing: I kinda see Bofur and Bombur together as the two sides of Dionysus, madness and frivolity, (or maybe Dionysus and Silenus? not sure). for music and feasting. Bifur for Hephaestus, the creator of things. Gloin I can't see as Artemis, as Artemis is a maiden of the wood, and Gloin is such family man? Maybe Hera :P.

OuO Hera for him is also good. and... was i Hermes who also was a protector of doctors? For Óin? you can combine these things quite a bit though? even Apollo for Dori and Artemis for Ori because that one time she  liked a guy Apollo tricked her into accidentally killing him? mhe...
