'Twas The Night Before Tipoff

'Twas the week before tipoff and all through Allen not a creature was stirring, not even the craziness of Caelynn Manning Allen.

The nets were hung on the rims with care, in hopes that tip off soon would be there.

Catherine Williams is nestled all snug in her bed, while visions of bunnys dance in her head. And Jada in her scarf, and Lorraine in her cap, Chelsea closed her wingspan for a long pre-game nap.

Chayla got her kicks, and Terrielle found someone to watch Sheldon (her turtle). When out on the court, Meek, Lauren, Keyla, and Asia prepare for tip off.

Natalie and the Jayhawks begin exhibition play tomorrow afternoon against Fort Hays State! Be in Allen Fieldhouse for a 2 p.m. tipoff #RockChalk

Countdown to Tip-off... 3 days

Asia Boyd shares her thoughts leading up to the first exhibition game on Sunday!

Never thought this time would come,

Where did this feeling come from?

My last year, feelings of more anxiousness than fear.

As I embark on this season, I have to play for more than one reason...

My team and my family is my only focus

And I'll leave this one hoping, they remember my name even after my last game.

First exhibition game is Sunday, Nov. 2 against Fort Hays State at 2 p.m. inside Allen Fieldhouse.

Countdown to Tip-off.... 4 days!

Leading up to the first exhibition game of the 2014-15 season, the captains will share their thoughts about starting and playing in their final season at Kansas. Up first, Bunny Williams!

They say it goes by fast, this is my final go around, so I MUST make it last.

I'm a senior now and my path thus far has been great, but my senior season will be the icing on the cake!

We tip off in less than a week and you can say that I'm REALLY geeked!!

Let's get this season on the way, this team will be good just watch what I say!

My Jayhawks are new and improved, we refuse to lose! 

Bunny and the Jayhawks open the season on Sunday, Nov. 2 against Fort Hays State at 2 p.m. in Allen Fieldhouse. The game is available on the Jayhawk Radio Network and the Jayahwk Television Network/ESPN3.

Greetings From Your Captains

Hey Jayhawk Fans,

We’re about to start our fourth year at Kansas and we’re excited for our last season. Myself, Asia Boyd, Natalie Knight and Bunny Williams are going to share our journey from now to the end of our senior season through this blog.

We’re making the most of our last year and want to get back to the postseason. Through the Captain’s (b)Log you get a behind the scenes look at our team and be able to watch us chase our dreams. We hope you enjoy and laugh as we bond and prepare for the 2014-15 season.
