hello! i have edited the subtitles for the phm telesync. you can find it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JQARIaPX8ikpFVz9Ac8_J_XNq-RPEokx/view?usp=sharing
feel free to copy it over into the general google drive!
credit goes also to nonbinary-octopus for kicking off the work and to yourself for the helpful transcript!
i used the generated subtitles that the link was posted earlier, and edited lines for accuracy, added some stuff, and made sure the timestamps all line up. i've triple-checked everything, but i'm sure there's probably still mistakes, apology apology apology. if anything doesn't work, if someone lets me know, i can fix it!
this file type should work in pretty much any media player! it won't play on gdrive though i don't think. if there's a need, i could make a copy with hard-coded subtitles, but i'd be a little worried about the video quality as it would have to be re-encoded and uploaded.
also note that these are subtitles and not full audio description/closed caption. i've added some descriptions of important sound effects and of rocky's non-translated speech, but nothing crazy. if there's a need for this i could use this version and go over to add more description, but i am in no way a professional.
hope this is useful for anyone!
That's absolutely incredible! Thank you so much!!!
I went through and double checked everything to make sure it was all good, I did make a few changes but 99% of those were things I know from the open-captioned showings I saw that you can't actually hear. I did change Rocky's music notes, because that really is a cool idea, it doesn't actually tell the audience what noises are being made apart from the fact that they are, in some way, musical. In the official captions for the movie in theatres, it just says "chittering," so I stuck to that as I want to try and get the subtitles as close to the closed captions, if that makes sense. I've attached the subtitles to the .mkv file in the google drive as well as uploaded a copy of it just in case!
