One of the 'flaws' those responsible for the Chimera would have said how incredibly anxious a creature it was which caused concern about its ability to handle a high stress environment.

Ever since their rather abrupt arrival from the concrete and metal confines of a lab into an entirely unknown world, nearly killed by some beast, surrounded constantly by the unfamiliar and the stressors only piled on to the already existing pile created from their time in the lab. Not that they ever dared let on anything was wrong, could never show any sign of weakness.

So upon being taken to yet another new environment that was it, after that anything no matter how small would have been enough to cause the Chimera to break. The rest was a blur, without even thinking the Chimera had taken off to find some place safe and somewhere to hide.

Slipping inside of a dimly lit room they found a quiet spot to curl up away from the noise.

Any smells that may have alerted the Chimera to this being the territory of another and stopped them from choosing to settle down beneath what was actually someone's bed, went largely unnoticed. With every scent having become more of a muddled indistinguishable mush that it turned into one scent, and made their head hurt.

Kumo had sharp senses even the Chimera knew that, meaning it wouldn't take long for him to find them.

So when they were alerted to someone approaching the Chimera assumed it was the light footed man, to exhausted to take notice the difference in both the sound of the steps and the feel of the vibrations created from them.

Shifting a little the Chimera readied themself for whatever punishment would come for having fled.
