So I've been just scrolling through the Shadam tag and I thought of something. In s6 with that whole fight scene between Kurron (clone Shiro) and Keith, Keith managed to get through to the part of Kurron that still believed he was Shiro, with all of Shiros origional memories, with the phrase "You're my brother Shiro, I love you". Kurron didn't react to "You're my brother Shiro" bc the clone was basically like "Yah that's an established fact, I'm still gonna kill you." But the "I love you" definitely struck a cord, bc you could see a v large expression change. At that point in time Shiro hasn't seen nor had any contact with anyone from Earth since before take off for the Kurberos Mission (minus those few guards in s1 when he landed on earth, and then meeting/seeing again the other future team members). I'm pretty sure this is the first time someone has told Shiro they love him (platonic or romantic) since Adam back on Earth, which was well over a year ago, not to mention how much longer it must feel from being in a) space in general b) captivity, twice c) a long ongoing battle against the evils of space. Personally, I think that when Kurron heard those words, that small part that was still Shiro was flooded with memories of not only his amazing lil bro Keith who he could never hurt, but also his best friend and SO. The man who begged him not to go on the Kurberos Mission. Because if he would have just listened to him, then they wouldn't be in this mess. Then he could be at home, cuddling by the TV watching their favorite show for a 7th time. Then he wouldn't have hurt so many people. But just as quick as shiro stole control, Haggar regained it. And he was forced again to being a puppet, fighting the ones he loves right back.
