Asporça Hatun, one of the early consorts of Orhan Ghazi and the confirmed mother of Ibrahim Bey, there’s a possibility that she could’ve been mother of Fatma Hatun too, but it’s heavily debated among historians.
She is generally believed to have been Of Greek origin, most likely a daughter of a Nobleman. But it was long believed that she was daughter of emperor Andronikos. This claim is most likely false as her name is not mentioned anywhere in the Byzantine Archives.
Asporça Hatun married Orhan Bey in the early 14th century. She was known for her devotion to charity and pious works, supporting the poor through endowments established in her name, which reflected her respected position within the dynasty.
In 1362, Orhan Ghazi died and his heir, Murad, took over the throne. Asporça and her son both were against this, and rebelled. Murad I found Ibrahim and executed him. Asporça strangely died in the same year too. She rests with her son in the tomb of Orhan Ghazi
