My lovely amazing Umma, where should I start? I’ve known Amber for just about a year now, and it honestly feels like a lifetime at this point. I was so shy and timid before I her, mostly keeping to myself and not looking to make many friends. But then I had the chance to meet Amber and she dragged out the side of me I tend to keep hidden. I know I can go to her for anything, be it advice or just to rant about something. She accept me for how I am, and has never asked me to be anything but me. I haven’t had much luck in my life when it came to friends & family , but she showed me it’s okay to trust people again. Amber is  the sweetest person, and I really should remind her of that more often. I’m lucky enough to know this amazing person & have her care as much as she does about me. I love her more that I could express in words, and I hope she knows that.

Chill out! ❞ Amber couldn’t blame her; if someone were to randomly reach out and grip her up just as harshly, her reaction would have been similar, if not more violent. It was a reflex though, seeing that the other was close to walking directly into a sharp corner of the table top. She’d had several poor experiences with that; matter of fact, she was probably rocking a few fresh bruises of her own. Being as clumsy as she is. And just catching sight of someone nearly falling into the same fate — well, she wasn’t having it. Grabbing Yuzi by the elbow and tugging her right into her arms seemed like a better solution to that oncoming problem then literally walking right into it.  ❝ You almost walked right into that table, y’know? I was just trying to help you out…You’re welcome. ❞

        ❅         Eyes big, widened in surprise, she looked at the other, regretting her words, slowly pulling back her arm, mumbling some excuse. Usually she didn't overreact, wouldn't call out like that, now feeling sorry for it, those harsher words, spoken in shock, taken back out of consideration, indeed, not wanting a bruise to her hips. "Thank you", she added, glancing at the table, overlooked earlier, not standing out in the room, unlike at her own home, no strongly contrasting color, easily missed for her, "I won't need to call you my savior now, do I?"

Amber to Kai was like a constant variable, one that never moved anywhere but was “just there.” It reminded him of the barely there pads of Stayfree advertisements, but of course not in the same sense. He admired her of how she held herself up, he knew she’s strong, stronger than himself. And her energy incomparable to his own but he knew it was all just an image she put on. 

He knew inside she also gets sad like him, angry like him, emo like him.

Sometimes he can’t stand how cheerful she may seem, most of the time he’d want to tear in between those layers to see what’s underneath but he always thought, “we’re not close, we’re not close.” It’s been like this and he always feels it’d stay the same way, something like he can’t pass a bridge that would mean she’s something more.

And even so, he’s afraid to take the step forward. 

He’s always been afraid of the unknown.

“hm?” the male hummed as he turned his head and looked at the older female once he heard her speak. he then blinked once he noticed how big the distance is between him and amber. guilt soon hovered over him for he wasnt sure if she had a long day of practice or a bad day and him making her walk probably wasnt helping. ‘ah i should’ve drove instead....’ he thought to himself. nodding his head, he spoke. “yeah we can stop walking. we can go to that restaurant some other time” he gave her a reassuring smile and walked towards her. once he was in front of her, he continued speaking. “should we get something to eat around this area or....”
