he frowns at the latest message his elder brother had sent in the family group chat, staring at the text for a while as he tries to make sense of the situation. his other siblings (and uisoo, that traitor of a fake dongsaeng) were already typing out their responses to the message, many of which adopted the usual praising tone.
minho loved his family. he definitely looks up to his brother but there are times where he felt inadequate compared to the elder. he truly felt happy for his hyung whenever something good happened to him. but right now, his brother was furthering his career while he was stuck in a limbo because of a stupid injury. and this pisses him off.
the only thing he could beat his brother in was football. he’s not due to return to the pitch for another year or two so he’s essentially shoved to the side while his brother gets the spotlight.
“why is my family full of overachievers?” he murmurs to himself as he texts a ‘congrats hyung’ with a cheesy emoji to accompany it.
