heyo, another ace-who's-not-a-fan-of-kissing here! i personally dont really like lip kissing bc 1 saliva, and 2 as an asthmatic-ish i find it kinda hard to breathe lol so it just feels a lil claustrophobic almost? however, peck on the head/cheek/other consensual body part? thas good shit lol. also i wanted to thank you for bringing this up bc kissing is such a big societal expectation for romance and not doing it is often seen as weird, so it's good to see that others think the same 😊

WOOO ACES. You’ve been following me from early on, I’m so glad you’re still here! Haha it can totally be claustrophobic, I feel that. I love that everyone is all about the innocent pecks tho, so sweet (*^^*)  Yeah it’s definitely a strong societal thing, so I’m really happy with all the responses I’ve gotten and the talks we’ve been having. I hope we are all feeling validated on the subject matter :D

Disclaimer: I don’t normally sew with patterns, I just kinda wing it. I did wind up making patterns for both of these projects because I had to make two of each and I wanted them to look roughly the same. The patterns I made were only for my use though, so I don’t know how helpful they are. There are some pieces that I never traced out, and most steps I didn’t take pictures of/document. I tried to type out all of the steps as clearly as possible and include pictures when I could, but I’m happy to answer questions if anyone does try making them. They’re pretty cheap to make if you just get the $0.99 polyester felt sheets from Michael’s/wherever, and felt has the benefit of being very forgiving. I’d say the shrimp is much easier. The snails aren’t too hard, but the shell is a pain in the ass. The pattern images need to be printed with the image taking up the whole paper if you want them to be the same size, and I wouldn’t go toooo much smaller, because at a certain point I think it would be too hard to work with some of the pieces. Also the very edges of the snail body got cut off in the scan, sorry, she is too big for my scanner.

how does the claiming actually work?

so on the claiming day, the authors will be sent a link to the claiming sheet (a google sheet) where they can claim an art and a beta. more info on how EXACTLY claiming will work (esp for people with more than one claim) will be released soon. :)
