You know, studying histology and the human body genuinely has me marveling at tissues. That sounds gross, but one of the first organ tissues I've ever looked at was the Kidney. God is it beautiful, the corpusles, the bowman's capsule, and tubules. Picturing this in action, and knowing the complex system it uses to retain glucose and expel waste, it's a true mark of how whatever force that builds bodies is an architect.
It's fucking glorious.
The little mechanisms inside our intestines, everything that goes into them. I can't help it, but it's humbling. It all sounds so disgusting, but I think our bodies are beautiful things, we ought to marvel at how effectiently we survive. Do you know every little thing that goes into maintaining our homeostasis? The negative feedback that helps us thermoregulate, the positive feedback that makes your blood clot, and that all comes together so that the human body remains stable, and survives.
