The darkness surrounded her.Opening her eyes to the non-existent light of the room, Sunhee tried to catch any glimpse of the place she was, wanting to know where she could be. There was nothing. No noise or shadow was able to give her any hint of what was going on. The intense odor of moisted wood in decomposition and the unmistakable musty smell hit her sense and the young woman had to close her eyes forcibly to push it away. However, it seemed too hard to block the mixture of smells. The witch let out a quiet groan. The skin around her wrists was burning. Sunhee realized that as her senses tried to focus on something else that wasn’t this distressing place. Trying to raise her hands, she realized that she couldn’t. There was some object made of steel around them. With a slight push, she whined in pain as she closed her eyes once again. It was iron. Whoever captured her knew she was a witch, but Sunhee didn’t feel any unfamiliar presence in the room. Even if her magic wasn’t completely developed, it was strong enough to detect the supernatural creatures in the same space as hers. The young woman could easily distinguish between the different species. The only presence she felt was a very well-known one. Of a witch who seemed to be powerless now. It was Kyeong Sook. Sunhee had no doubts about it as she started to remember of the last events. The witch was in a rush to get to her home, not wanting to stay away for too long. It was already late and she didn’t want to miss the family meal. Her beloved Hana was back from Paris and while she needed to keep the appearances as the perfect sister, who loved her more than anyone else, Sunhee actually wanted to keep Hana under her eyes. After all, Sunhee still had a plan to finish. That was when she met Kyeong Sook. It had been one of their usual bickering moments and before she had time to harshly tell her that she needed to leave, someone had covered her mouth. Sunhee had lost her consciousness between the moment the man wrapped a cloth around her hands and the moment she was pushed into the backseat of a car. There was a strong headache and the witch figured out that it was probably because she had hit her head somewhere along the way to this place. Why was Kyeong Sook with her? Sunhee didn’t even know why she was in this situation, but she wasn’t going to out her hand in the fire by saying that it wasn’t because of her. There was a possibility that they were doing this because of a revenge. How many enemies did she have? They were quite a few and she couldn’t even remember all of them. The mystery that was bothering her was how did they find her in Pyro Hills. Sunhee hadn’t done no foes since she arrived. It couldn’t be Taejoon, because his sister was also involved now. The witch could be inexperienced with her magic, but by the way Taejoon talked and looked at her the last time they met, she knew that he wanted something importante from her. Sunhee surely wasn’t naive. Perhaps it was Stephen. Before she could think too much about this, a noise coming from the other side of the room caught her attention. Turning her eyes toward the noise, even if Sunhee couldn’t see anything, she decided to try her luck. “Kyeong Sook?” She called for her quietly, realizing how weak her voice sounded. The witch was exhausted.
