This has been a great summer for music and here’s another tape to add to your playlist.
New Haven, CT’s own Kyle Jamal celebrated his birthday recently by delivering his new mixtape “Loner In Public”. These ten tracks are filled with soul, jazz, hip-hop and even a bit of ignorant rap: there’s something for everyone and their mama to vibe to.
It opens with ‘King Midas’ to prepare us for Kyle’s lyrical ability but also his producing skills with lines like “this beat got the golden touch call it King Midas”. Further on you might even find yourself dancing to track five’s upbeat-heartbreak song, ‘One-Sided Love Story Interlude’. You won’t feel too bad for long though when “Not Worried” follows to remind you not to trip over any lackluster relationship and/or people.
With the last track being Pride Kyle Jamal declares his position in music and lets us know he’s here to stay. And with a tape like this I don’t doubt him, so you shouldn’t either.
Now take a listen to Loner In Public, vibe out & enjoy your summer!
