Something I especially enjoy about Kyle Johns work is the dynamic of the form itself and the color choices. He is very deliberate in showing the object is not really functional by leaving the molding marks of these pottery frankenstein’s monster like pieces but then chooses simple color palettes. The colors are well thought out to compliment each other but are not busy as to detract from the form itself.
