kylee stands with ellen and jim in nationwide arena's back of house chatting with adam, kent and cole as they wait for luke and jack,

"there they are," jim says as a crowd of devils come out of the locker room hallway.

kylee frowns seeing the dejected body language of her boyfriend,

"oh lu," she whispers as luke b-lines straight to her and basically collapses into her arms, "hi baby," she mumbles.

luke doesn't respond, he just tightens his hold on her, pressing a kiss to her neck.

gently kylee runs a hand up and down his back,

"im proud of you," she reassures softly, "so so proud," luke holds onto her but pulls his face out her neck,

"im sorry," he croaks,

"hey no," kylee snaps, "no. you did what you could and im so proud of you ok? i don't care how it ended. i got to watch you do what you love and that is plenty enough," that gets luke to smile, small, but it's there,

"thank you," he whispers. kylee leans up and presses her lips to his,

"im so proud of you," she assures again, "and i love you," luke chuckles,

"love you too,"

Nora at family skate with Luke and Kylee and Jack would be so adorable

nora smiles up at her bubbe as ellen finishes tying her skates,

"done?" the 6 year old asks. the hughes matriarch smiles,

"yes you're all good," she confirms, not surprised as she watches Nora hop off the bench and run to the ice.

"UNCLE JACKY!" nora yells as she skates towards her uncle,

"hi bug," the forward says scooping his niece up into her arms,

"NO SKATE!" she yells, jack sighs setting her down, "where is maggie?" she then asks,

"shes with luke and kylee, i think," jack says and he doesn't even receive a response before nora is skating off.

Does Nora make the trip out east with gma/gpa since they are with all the family in the area?

yes!

shes there with bubbe, gramps, uncle lukey and uncle jacky now

she got to watch auntie kylees game with uncle lukey, and that was AWESOME because kylee scored AND OSU WON!

and of course ellen managed to convince luke that nora should wear the osu womens hockey jersey that kylee got for her

when the game ends ellen takes a picture of luke and nora on the couch with huge smiles on there faces and sends it to kylee

its really cute and they all swear not to tell quinn

how my NHL au's are spending the 4 nations break!

shes 7 months pregnant and nesting

theyre planning to drive up to ann arbor to see luca then roadtrip to toronto to see the fantillis

she wishes she could go to montreal then boston but they just dont think its smart for her to fly

nora hughes

her and quinn are travelling back to michigan

theyre gonna spend sometime at the lake house with bubbe, grandpa, and lukey

then theyll travel to boston to watch jack in the final few games of the four nations!

shes trying to see if she can pull off coming to see luke for a weekend

BUT her teammates are already planning a surprise for him to come down this weekend

maggie smith

maggie is stuck in jersey working!

but she plans on going to boston with the hughes' when theyre at the end of the tournament

caroline hughes

staying home and finishing up her induction treatment

luke, quinn and will all come and stay with her; while ellen and jim go support jack

she enjoys the brother and boyfriend time getting some comfort in it

parker douglass

mack is planning to surprise her after the beanpot finals and spend as much time with her as he can before he HAS to report back to san jose

carter hughes

still in philly in med school doing her clinicals

shes sad she can't go watch jack but shes hoping she can make something work so she can see him in boston

Jack didn't mean to spill his coffee all over the pretty girl. Really, he didn't, but he was late, and Nico was going to kill him. And instead of buying her a new coffee he forces his phone number on her, promising to buy her a new one another day.
