It makes SOOO much sense why Cartman is a cat person
Cartman dating Heidi was a coverup for his true feelings about Kyle. One of my friends did the same thing. They dated a lot of people but then eventually confessed to their true crush that they only had those exes to cover up their true feelings for them.
Maybe Kyle’s exes are coverups for Cartman too.
What do you guys think?
Cartman is what a TRUE empath looks like, yes you heard me
Okay now that I really think about it Cartman is like the perfect exemplar of what a REAL empath looks like. HERE ME OUT. As I've prob mentioned before I HATE the word "empath" and how much it gets tossed around way too easily these days bc like it's often the people who claim to be "empaths" that I have noticed are actually like the cruelest assholes ever. They are the wolves in sheep's clothing types who loveee to present themselves as an empath to make it seem like they care about shit more than anyone else so that people will praise them and think they are a good person, when in reality they just don't the capacity to experience empathy to the extent that a true empath does. I also feel like people forget too that there's a HUGE difference between empathy and sympathy. Like empathy is the ability to feel the emotions of another person and put yourself in their shoes, while sympathy is the act of actually showing that you care and extending kindness to someone. I know everyone characterizes Cartman as this monstrous sociopath who lacks empathy, but honestly I would say what Cartman actually lacks is sympathy and not empathy. Yes I agree that Cartman can be a total uncaring asshole. He can be extremely rude and inconsiderate. He's def the type of person where if something bad were to happen to somebody, like say if he sees an old lady fall he would laugh at her instead of helping her up LOL. He's not the type of person to offer condolences to somebody if say they just found out their dog died. But really those kinds of gestures like that are more of examples of sympathy and not empathy. The biggest difference between empathy and sympathy is that with sympathy there is a sense of societal obligation, people will act kindly because they know they are supposed to. Just because Cartman isn't going out of his way to act kindly, does not mean he is completely incapable of feeling for other people. Now here is the reason why I think Cartman is a true empath: what the reality is for empaths is that they take on the emotions of others soooo intensely to the point that it drains them and they have to learn to protect themselves because of it. I love that saying "Sometimes the nicest people you meet are covered in tattoos & sometimes the most judgmental people you meet go to church on Sundays" because it's honestly true like people with REAL empathy who actually are kind deep down simply don't have the energy to go out of their way and show off how truly kind they are lol, so I think that real empaths are actually the types of people who present as mean and unapproachable on the surface. And as I mentioned before it was SUPER evident especially in the early seasons of the show that Cartman WAS a nice person, he just had to learn over time to guard that niceness because it kept leading to him getting pushed around and taken advantage of by Stan & Kyle. THAT is why Cartman is a true empath, he's somebody that loves so hard, intensely, and selectively to the point that he has to bury it deep down or else his empathy will get him into trouble. And I've talked about this before how I truly believe Cartman's manipulativeness is coming from not a lack of empathy, but him weaponizing the powerful empathy he does feel and using it for evil. Because yeah it's been shown REPEATEDLY that Cartman is actually VERY emotionally intelligent and quick to pick up on the vibes of other people. I just also think that Cartman is overall a highly sensitive person (HSP) too, which is another dumb term that gets thrown around a lot these days. I mean sure you can def argue and make the case that Cartman lacks empathy because of how cruel he can be, but there is no denying that he is at least somebody very sensitive and feels INTENSELY and very capable of having his own feelings hurt. And this is definitely something I have already talked about in the past how there are a lot of moments where we see Cartman genuinely sad and crying and it's NOT part of some manipulative game he is playing.
hot take but kyle doesn’t actually care that cartman is a terrible person as much as he acts like he does
ik i told ya’ll i wouldn’t post another rant unless ya’ll made me a cartbe fanart but i couldn’t help but make a rant anyway bc i’m so nice like that 😩
we need a kyle ghosting and being done with cartman arc LET’S FUCKING GO
This is to add onto my rant I just did about how Kyle launched an entire ass smear campaign against Cartman to sabotage his aids benefit — also the fact that Kyle RLLY started laughing hard right after Cartman said Jimmy Buffet came to his benefit instead of Elton John tells me that Kyle specifically went out of his way to tell Elton John not to come or did something that prevented Elton John from coming which was just malicious AF considering how much Cartman was looking forward to getting to see one of his fav rock idols play to cheer him up after finding out he’s literally gonna die 😩
Ya'll are we just not gonna talk about how Cartman lost his grandma in s5?
Cartman’s anger at Kyle in “Tonsil Trouble” was 100% justified
