Raised in the penal system rather than a Furyan pack, Riddick struggled to connect with Jack as a packmate. Assuming, because Jack was only half Furyan she wouldn't latch onto him.

Leaving her to make her own way made sense. She had yet to present her secondary gender. She still had time to form a strong pack for herself. As long as she didn't have a target on her head. Riddick would only hold her back. And so he left before they got too close.

The pack bond doesn't wear off the way it should. He stayed with her too long. Got too attached.

He hoped she presented as a Beta by now and forgot all about him.

Yet when he sees her again, he's never seen her so angry. Fighting and cursing. Then he caught that scent and realized his mistake. She smelled of distressed Omega.

Riddick x Kyra (Jack)

Needing to get half way across the country, Kyra hitched a ride with her shady on-and-off-again ex, Richard B. Riddick. Their car breaks down. Their vehicle is towed to a party hosted by Riddick's former squad mates.

There was no money for the hotel now that they had to patch up the car. So they'd have to spend the night with Riddick's friend, Vaako.

Once they are at Vaako's house party they realize it is full of swingers. All these couples are flirting with them. Unsuccessfully.

Until Kyra sees Vaako's gorgeous wife and can't help herself. She ignores all of Riddick's warnings and Vaako, Kyra, Damita, and Riddick have a lovely two weeks as they wait on repairs.

Lady Jessica shares a mother with Jacqueline aka Jack B. Badd aka Kyra the infamous contract killer.

After hearing word of the change from the emperor Lady Jessica needed someone ruthless on her side. Among the orphans at the convent, Jessica was the most skilled. In that time Jessica had one trusted friend, Jack. At times Jack was more like family than the mother that embraced her. In times of need, Jessica reached out to her old friend. Kyra Badd (formerly Jaqueline) made a great personal body guard during Jessica's pregnancy and after Paul's botched assassination attempt.

Bringing Kyra and her partner Rick along to Arrakis mad the Atriedes feel lighter. Leto didn't feel the need to express distrust of Jessica.

After the Baron's assassination attempt the Atreides were driven into the desert. On their path to plead to the Emperor and the Bene Gesserit for sanctuary secrets are revealed.

Jessica is hiding a pregnancy from the party.

A part of Kyra's security team is career criminal, Richard B. Riddick.

If the Emperor denied them sanctuary, Leto was considering offering a marriage alliance.

The Reverend Mother, Gaius Helen Mohiam mothered Jessica and Jaqueline. While Jessica was favored by Gaius as a student, Jack was completely abandoned. The two were similar to a fault. Even as a young child, Jack was rebellious. Born bad. Earning the title "Badd" as the worst of all the children ar the convent. Out of fear of Jessica inheriting the ways of the Harkonnens as well, Gaius sought to seperate them.
