You and Clark had been coworkers for almost a year now, and dating for around eight months. He was your boyfriend and you his girlfriend. It felt a little ridiculous to call each other that as grown adults, especially considering he's older than you by 5 years.
Everything was good up until two weeks ago. When Clark slept at your apartment for the first time. He'd been there countless times, but you've always slept over at his apartment.
So to you, this was a big step. You didn't exactly have the best childhood growing up, so when you finally moved out to Metropolis, away from your parents, you converted your apartment in a beautiful sanctuary, a place no one could take or invade.
That being said, when he slept over it didn't seem like a big deal to you or him at the time. But the reality hit you the next morning, when he was laying in your bed. Clark Kent was laying in your bed cuddled up with your puppy, Cannoli.
Cannoli is a very tenderhearted puppy. She's sweet and polite, but overall she's very shy, and she doesn't take to people very easily. So for her to be there, letting Clark curl her up into his chest hit deep. Because she's just like you.
He's now seen a part of you that you've never shared before, your space.
And that's how you ended up here, Monday night. You were 'watching tv' but in reality you were just sitting on the couch, Cannoli snug in your lap as you lazily pet her head while she falls asleep and you starred onto the abyss.
Then there's a knock on the door, and Cannoli stirs awake. A second knock when you don't answer, you look at the time on your phone, 10:19pm, who's at your door at this time. Cannoli looks up at the door and tilts her head to the side, one ear sliding higher while the other droops down lower, looking as pensive and curious as you are.
You slide Cannoli off your lap and say a soft "I'm coming," as you head to the door. You open it just slightly and see a disheveled Clark looking right back at you with soft and sad eyes, as you take in his appearance you open the door completely. Cannoli still on the couch with her head adorably tilted until she see Clark and lets out a small bark of excitement.
"Hey, what're you doin' here?" You barely whisper out, motioning for him to come in, so you can sit on the couch together. Clark takes off his shoes in silence and leaves them by the front door, then following you to the couch.
As soon as he sits down, Cannoli crawls onto his lap, gets all comfy and rests her head against his thigh while he pets her head.
"Are you seeing someone else?" He blurts out in an anxious breath.
"What? No, what makes you ask that," your response seems to take some of his jitters away but it doesn't put him completely at ease. "You've been avoiding me.. Did I do something wrong?" Each word sullenly comes out, with the smallest bit of hope that this could be fixed.
And the minute he asks if he did something wrong, your heart breaks in the best way because he cares. You lift a hand up to gently caress his cheek, and you feel like your heart is about to explode. "No baby, you didn't. You're perfect to me." You murmur out soft as you can, like he might shatter like glass in your hand.
"Then I don't understand why you've been avoiding me this whole time, tell me, please. We can fix it." He begs of you, with those sweet sad eyes.
"Honey.. Nothings wrong, I guess I just needed some time to process what I was feeling the night after you slept over," he waits silently for you to continue. "No one has ever slept over, Cannoli doesn't curl up to anyone but me," you point with your eyes towards her, "she doesn't sleep when strangers are around. I've never shared a bed with someone," you gesture to your entire apartment before continuing, "I've never let anyone be here. I'll always make the extra effort to go other places because I don't let anyone in. But you, you're different. Clark I'm not broken with you, I'm not so tense that you can see it, I don't have my walls up with you. I can trust you. I can let myself be loved. I can let myself love."
You take a deep breath and finally take the leap of faith, "Clark I love you. I know I went about processing the way I feel the wrong way but-"
Then you feel it, Clark is kissing you again. For a brief moment he pulls away from you, "I love you too Y/n"
You press a sweet kiss to him again and for the first time in two weeks, you can breathe again. "Do you want to stay over tonight? It's late and I don't want the man I love on the road at this time," you give him a hopeful smile, and he grabs the hand you've had placed against his cheek the whole time places a sweet kiss to your palm before nodding.
You kiss him again so delicately, because he's just as fragile as you, before resting your forehead against his.
And then you look down, and realize Little Miss Cannoli has been sleeping this whole time. You separate yourself and Cannoli from Clark before heading to bed. Where you and Clark can rest peacefully and in love, while Cannoli sleeps in between you like the princess baby she is.

a/n - I know I made Cannoli up, but I love her so dearly I cant <333
Krypton got two seasons before getting cancelled and there was also going to be a spinoff; in my opinion it was a mostly good show, I enjoyed it anyway.. especially in the second season when we got Lobo! and I was really bummed it got cancelled because they teased in the finale episode the thanagar-rann war
Interesting, I thought there was only one. They don't have the second season on DC universe so I will have to find somewhere else to watch it. I remember the trailer and it seemed to be interesting.
okay but !!!! tell us what wanda does when she's upset, how does she react to to things like death, heartache, etc !
ASK ME QUESTIONS ABOUT WANDA.
WARPED. ahhh yes okay so! in the past wanda reacted to trauma in a very very very bad way. she had no control over the flood of emotions she experienced and, paired with everything else within her, it often ended in her doing something rash in reaction. she is a very dramatic person lol. but now, since she has been through A LOT of therapy and has really worked on herself, she can cope a lot better. she is an introverted person by nature and so when she is really upset she typically wants to hibernate and deal with it alone. on the rare occasion she wants company, it’s probably either natya (@viduamor) or clint (@archrs).
When I was younger and I heard the story of Superman, of how his planet exploded due to the people ignoring the problem and letting their planet die, I thought it was so implausible. How could they just ignore the warning signs? They destroyed their whole planet! It didn't make sense to me. They just passively let their planet be destroyed? Who would do that? I didn't understand how that could happen. Now I do.
Superman Returns (2006)
directed by Bryan Singer
cinematography by Newton Thomas Sigel
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
directed by Zack Snyder
cinematography by Larry Fong
I know these two films don't take place in the same timeline but there's no way Dawn of Justice wasn't referencing Superman Returns. These two moments are of Clark and Lois, both transfixed by space-themed relics from Clark's childhood, trying to process loss.
In Superman Returns, Clark realizes through the placement of the red star that he had some memory of Krypton growing up without being aware of it. As a baby he would have seen Krypton's red sun as the center of the universe, just as it is in the center the view from his bed. Losing Krypton affected him in ways he can never understand. Having visited the empty space where Krypton used to be, he feels the loss of it-- possibly for the first time-- and he feels alone.
Then in Dawn of Justice, Lois loses Clark. She takes refuge from the funeral in his childhood bedroom, lays back on his bed, and stares at his solar system model. For however uncontemplatably enormous the universe is, it feels empty without him. Its about loss and empty space again.
