Eglantine was scared and worried. She didn’t know where she was, or how long it had been since she had been taken there. She and her caretaker were outside because it was her birthday and she always went shopping on her birthday, but then the men came and they knocked him out and she didn’t know what she was supposed to do.
It was dark and she was laid on an uncomfortable bed, her wheelchair clearly not in the locked room they were keeping her in. There were no windows, and she was just happy they didn’t seem to think it necessary to tie her up. Not that it meant much...She was lucky if she made it more than a few feet without her wheelchair. And how was she supposed to take her medications? How long had it been since she had taken her last dose?
She had screamed since she first woke up, but then one of the men holding her captive threatened to knock her out again if she didn’t stop. Whatever they had used to knock her out before left her dizzy with a pounding headache...She didn’t want to go through that again. Her heart was racing and she felt suffocated by the fear. She was sure they were holding her for ransom. The disabled daughter of a rich couple...She was the perfect bait.
Her breathing was heavy and she didn’t know what to do. She should try to escape, but trying without some sort of aid would be pointless. Even if she managed to get out of the room, she wouldn’t get very far...
