like to me Orpheus and Eurydice is about how love and the overcoming grief can move worlds of life and death, but if emotion is the basis of this love, if you cannot act in line with what's actually coming from the desired outcomes of how you love but instead react on impulse or feeling, it's a single point of failure, and you'll lose who you love forever if you cannot sense they are there.
Embarking on a fresh voyage, Sarah Davachi drones out at sea on ‘Possente Spirto’ from The Head as Form’d in the Crier’s Choir, her latest collection for solo performers and chamber ensembles. The title of the piece alludes to the ‘Possente spirto, e formidabil nume’ of the opera L’Orfeo by Claudio Monteverdi, an aria which captures the moment when the bard Orpheus strives to convince the ferryman Charon to allow him to pass into Hades, from where he hopes to recover his wife Eurydice, who has died and gone into the underworld after being bitten by a snake.

I’m watching L’Orfeo and uhhh...🥺 I love opera
If you've enjoyed Hades I must implore you to listen to some of L'Orfeo. The earliest surviving opera that is still played, it is the story of Orpheus travelling to the underworld to get Eurydice.
I studied it in uni so I was really excited to see them in the game. Not used to an Orpheus woth such a high range- as you'll see if you give this clip (my favourite excerpt) a listen.
