Photo trips with Meili are the most fun, and we got into the spirit of things with the pleasantly mild weather that afternoon. Sunflowers are planted every year at my university as a symbol of good luck to the graduates. We’ve had several heavy thunderstorms lately, but the flowers still seem to be holding strong!

Hi! Do you know if the l329 JSK is particularly itchy or uncomfortable?

I have never owned or come across l329 personally, but based off reviews and other people’s opinions, I don’t think it would be. In a proper lolita coordinate you would be wearing a blouse and petticoat underneath, so the dress should not touch your skin most of the time anyway. Besides, I have always heard people praising its design and materials. The skirt consists of chiffon which is very nice and light material. The armholes have no lace that could be itchy to the skin, so that just leaves the clavicle portion. I’ve never heard any complaints about the lace used either, so it probably isn’t too cheap, and cheap lace tends to be scratchy.

A while ago, there was a thread on Rufflechat about wearing lolita in summer. Since our seasons are ‘you go to the beach’ and ‘the beach goes to you’ (aka typhoon) I put in my two cents, summarized below.

Lace shawls are the saving grace of summer. Lighter and more airy than blouses or boleros, they’re the next best thing to actually going blouseless. When it hits 41 here, I probably won’t bother with a blouse or wig at that point, but since shoulders are rather ~scandalous~ shawls are great.

Lace tights and ankle socks let more air through than typical tights/OTKs. And on the subject of underwear, I strongly recommend a petticoat or underskirt with a cotton/linen slip. Tulle and summer sweat make a most unpleasant combination, and cotton/linen blends are the most gentle fabric I can suggest.

Would this be a good first coord? L329 in white with a white blouse, SOCKS451, ACC964 in white and Insomnium Wigs Mademoiselle Violet?

Are those the socks you meant to send me? I'm just very confused by them. Everything else is white aside from the wig (which is fine because it can work as a statement piece and a pop of color) but then you have pink and yellow socks that don't fit into the coord at all.
