"Come back to bed."
Ava had thought Vis was fast asleep, but her senses told her otherwise when she realized that he’d felt her leave the bed. She glanced back at him apologetically over her shoulder at his quiet, half-asleep murmur. He looked so damn cute, all sleepy and disheveled, and there was no denying that she wanted to stay with him. However, the uncovered windows and the oncoming threat of daylight streaming through them was an all too conscious thought that spurred her out into what was left of the night.
Sighing softly, and against her better judgement, she moved back over to the bed, settling down on the edge of it as she brought a gentle hand, once again gloved, to cradle the side of his face. “I can’t stay, love,” she whispered, her thumb stroking his cheek. “I’m sorry. I wish I could, though.” She leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek, taking a moment just to savor him, breathe him in, before she pulled back.
"I’ll come back tomorrow night, okay?" she said softly, smiling at him reassuringly. She let her fingers trail lightly along his jaw as she drew her hand back.
